Tian Lai Seafood in Gelang Patah does the Seafood nice and tasty. Service is not good as it's more like a coffee shop restaurant as expected

Saw some reviews and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The taste was good. We liked the ginger frogs leg, dried chilli lala, kangkong Blachan the other dishes (special chicken and omelet) didnt really do it for us.

My family has been patronizing this restaurant for more than 10 years and sad to say food and service quality of this place has gone from bad to worst in last 1 - 2 years. I am sure there are better restaurants worth spending our money.

A very local setup with good fresh seafood to offer. Limited parking but there is an empty shoplot across the street which we can park. The fresh seafood is a must try -fish, any shellfish that is available. We had the sotong fried with salted egg yolk - that is good. Steam fish is nicely done too. Will be easier... More

We decided to visit this restaurant after reading lots of review in blogs but I must say that the food is average and service is kind of weak. We asked for recommendation of signature dishes but none were really outstanding. The clay pot sea cucumber was very bland and the golden toufu was nothing to brag about. The only 2... More

Food here was quite tasty and fresh .Not overly expensive either. Parking is limited as the venue of this restaurant is along a fairly busy raod.

This is a place that we will drive 15-20mins from Medini (Legoland area) for lunch. Can sit outdoor (smoking) or in the air-conditioned section for more comfort. The tanks will have all the fresh catch of the day and apart from the seafood, the curry rib is tender and flavorful. Friendly boss, casual setting, good value, yummy eats.

A typical Malaysian roadside restaurant with plastic chairs and tables, tanks of live fish and the jet-engine roar of the gas stove. It's busy, which means it's popular and the food is as freshly prepared as you can wish. We had threadfish steamed with soy and served with dried sweet carrot, which was very good indeed; an awesomely rich, spicy... More

Had dinner at Tian Lai Seafood during a visit to Johor Bahru for some retail therapy. This was my second visit to the restaurant because we found the quality of the food was very good and value for money. Since it was a Saturday night, it was packed as expected. The place had an old town traditional ambience and was... More

Reasonably good seafood restaurant in Gelang Patah and usually packed on weekends. Their curry pork-ribs are pretty tasty.
