We had been here before and it was still very good since our last visit at least a year ago.
We arrived late this time, however despite with a big crowd just before us, the food quality and service were very consistently good.
Went in for dinner after visiting Legoland. 10 Minutes after we placed our order, the food came. The salted baked kampung chicken was awesome, just the right amount of salt used, producing succulent, juicy chicken meat. Our two vegetables were done uniquely - spinach with...superior soup retains all the nutrients found in spinach, while brocoli stir fried with soya skin was indeed unique. The signature dish of pumpkin bean curd goes well with our white rice and bitter gourd soup! All in we had great food, fast service in a nice ambience restaurant.More
We were impressed with the meals despite of a tour group of close to 90 persons spread over 9 tables. The service was good too, prompt...
The Yam Paste desert was very good to be found on such type of restaurant...
We had 8 people for dinner. The roast pig was the highlight that save the night and we had to pre order the night before. We also had to preorder the pumpkin rice rm$38 I think, which has good fragrance.
The funny thing is all...that those we order on the spot turns out bad: the toufu sauce is too starchy, the lotus with macadamia nuts was blend and starchy. Again! Our last dish was salted egg bitter gourd and that's the one that broke my scale of acceptance. It was over fried and oily. I asked for sambal chili to see if I can mask the over fried stuff and no sambal chilli! Why? The cook definitely did not feel like it's Malaysian style. Not good at all, esp when it is JB. Another is drinks: they don't have coconut drinks and we ordered at 7pm! ...why?
We spend RM$400 for 8 in total for too many why? I was ready for street food right after this which would have cost me just RM$4.More
