Had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday Morning. My husband wasn't a fan of his apple turnover, but those Spelt Pancakes were amazing. With fresh carmelized apples and spices. Wow. Enough to take home and eat tomorrow!

Been back many times. Recently brought in out of area friends. The owners are still super friendly and passionate. We ordered three hot chocolates for sitting in. I promised my friends that this would be one for the best hot chocolates. They were in agreement....More

Great place on the Main Street to pick up some GF treats - wonderful find. Breads were tasty, and the treats (molasses and orange butter cream cookies) were perfect.

This quiet place is great for anyone sensitive to noise and looking for a healthy breakfast freshly prepared. The gluten free French toast is terrific! Four thick slices of really great bread - you'll not want "regular-ole" wheat based again. Wonderful options for anyone wanting...More

The owner is an arrogant rude person who is so impressed with himself. He doesn't know how to talk to people but I always ignored it because his wife is very nice. I use to spend at least $15 a visit on baked goods but...More

Really lovely folks -- the baker and the server with whom we chatted. Most everything was really good (moist, flavorful, etc.)--particularly the chocolate chip cookie, the coffee cake, and the brownie. One item was rather dry, though with good flavor; however, that was the exception....More

Casual little bakery with delicious baked goods and gluten free treats for those in our party with allergies. Came away with having tasted more than I bought and some amazing delights. Will visit again!

Come hungry. The breads are divine. A must go when in town. And inexpressive too boot. The Irish bread is the best I ever had!

There is a large assortment of gluten free baked goods available, and I enjoy quite a few of them. Some of the selections taste a bit experimental (tends to be bitter at times), but I am happy to forgive this, as gluten free baking is...More

Hi, Thank you for your review and that you came in and enjoyed our offerings. Certain GF flours have bitter edges to them and I use this to pair with other flavors sometimes such as pumpkin or a squash, even fig. Bitter for me as...More

Studious Baker is a company of culinary artisans that relies on common ingredients for inspiration, and distinctive scratch baking. We work with complementing and contrasting flavors, balancing them for both subtle and robust play of flavors. We create original cookies and bars, tea breads, yeasted breakfast rolls, savory wheat breads and laminated doughs; Danish and croissant, scones, doughnuts, muffins, baked breakfast puddings, coffeecakes, pies, cakes, confections, vegan and vegetarian soups, but not necessarily all at the same time, we stagger our pastries as the business grows. Nearly everything we do is hand crafted-like toasting seeds and spices for custom blends and making pastry fillings and confits that meet our standards not found in stores. The unique flavor combinations in our products are paramount, so sugar is not the emphasis. We also continue to create and develop gluten-free pastries, using non-gluten flours emphasizing their unique flavors, textures, and shelf life stability. No starches or fillers are used in our pastries. There's no such thing as a commercial mix. As advocates of organic and local agriculture and business, our goal is to source as much local, regional and/or organic ingredients as possible. We use organic citrus, fresh fruit and dried fruit, whole grains and spices, gluten-free organic whole grain flours; local eggs, local dairy and maple syrup; non-aluminum baking powder, non-GMO pan spray, and unbleached flours to name a few. In the future, as the business grows, we will strive to use more organic ingredients. Because our products have no preservatives, they should be enjoyed promptly, although their shelf life is exceptionally good and long. (Our goods also freeze well for extended use.) Come give us a try!
