The "OC" -- as its patrons call it -- is a quintessential "old man bar" of the first order. Dark and funky, filled with fishing and nautical gear and artwork depicting some late, great local characters, it has as much atmosphere as any dive bar in America, and it's completely authentic, not created. Generations of artists, writers and Portuguese fishermen... More

How I remember all the great times at this local watering hole and it hasn't changed, except for the floors sagging! What a place to experience local color at its finest. Lenny don't ever change the place, it's great to go back after so many years and it's still the same, Love It

Good drinks, very nice local people. Great location in the middle of town. We didn't feel like tourists here.

I love this old dump. Unpretentious drinking, loud rock-n-roll, Golden Tee, a frightening men's room, sharp bartenders and fun times. Local fishermen and workers come here to unwind and the vibe is friendly. Don't be a hipster doofus and come in and order a Roasted Cherry Bourbon Smash. Have a beer, a Jamesons or a normal drink, kick back and... More

The Old Colony Tap is an old fashion tavern. Alcoholic beverages, good juke box & warm, quaint atmosphere. This is not a place for kids, frequented mostly by working-class locals. Few tourists venture in. Watch the characters & tourists pass by while sitting at one of the plank tables on the canted floor enjoying a draft. As others in your... More

If you are intimidated looking in the windows, good! Now get over that, go on in, and learn that you had nothing to worry about.

Great place to hang for a couple of brews. A no nonsense type of bar with a lot of history. You will have to visit and ask the bartender about the history. Walls are made from wooden ships....just wicked cool. If your a stuck up snob who thinks your entitled, then this is not the place for you. REAL people... More

This place would be "Cheers" if Norm and Cliff were Blackbeard and Jack Sparrow; a fine, funky amalgam of flotsam and jetsam of both the nautical and human type....Hide your wife and hold your tongue, cause the ride could get bumpy. Special bonus: they have Green Chartreuse, in season.

Only went in to grab a couple drinks. Bartender was very friendly and it was a fun atmosphere. Boyfriend got oysters and he said they were great.
