If you enjoy the feel of a real tavern, like one that the colonist might have visited, this is the place for you. This quaint, rustic eatery was a very pleasant find as we started out on our weekend adventure. It was a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for the ambiance. October is a big deal,... More

This one's going to be short and sweet. Don't order the food. Period. Go and look at the beautiful inn, but for heaven sake, run away from the food! For whatever reason the "chef" just doesn't seem to care about providing an appetizing meal, or even a meal that will not make one ill. I won't go into the gory... More

We stopped at the New Boston Inn after a day of sightseeing in the Berkshires. It looked funky and interesting and I'm so glad we stopped in. The service was attentive and fun. The food was traditional comfort food. No new wave trends, nothing fusion, just good old fashioned very tasty food. My stuffed haddock was cooked perfectly. The meatloaf... More

Thought this would be a nice place to have Thanksgiving Dinner....very quiet, historic setting, etc. and I will admit that the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. We were shown to a table in the corner of a room and then they prettty much forgot about us. After waiting what seemed like almost a half hour I... More

Step back in time to the days when the owner of the establishment greets you, the staff brings you the "History of the Inn" upon learning it's your first visit there, and the food is all made from scratch. Yes, that's right, they make their sides such as coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans, as well as every soup and... More

Looking for a place for lunch and saw this place. Said bikers welcome. We thought they would like us too! Every room in this place is decorated differently. They even have a Christmas tree that stays up year round in the gentlemanly room. Built in 1737 this is a very old Tavern. Great for wandering travelers who are hungry. They... More

Let me just start by saying this place has the BEST meatloaf I have ever had - even better then my own! haha My husband and I were taking a "scenic" ride and came upon the New Boston Inn. We were debating to go in as it does look a little funky from the outside but so glad we did.... More

Terrible food and noisy staff. Very disappointing, will never revisit or recommend. The setting is very quaint, with choices of dining from outside, screen porch, bar area or formal dining room but unless you are outside all conversation will be drowned out by the staff sat at the bar. Our food was undercooked, the coleslaw was warm and the bread... More

Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Was looking forward to a nice anniversary dinner but came away disappointed and disgusted. Coming from England I know good fish and chips, the New Boston Inn does not. The batter was still raw on the inside and the fish translucent, only sushi should be served this way. Haddock is not a suitable... More

Went for dinner, very disappointing. Fish and chips weren't cooked through. Steak was tough. The batter for the fish and chips was raw and gummy inside. We live nearby and hadn't been in years. Won't be back. Ever.
