While billed as "an exotic Mediterranean restaurant", it is really more Balkan with a menu that features dishes such as cevapcici, burek, and Croatian seafood stew. We tried all of these and found them very good. Good service was provided by our waiter who was born in Belgrade. While we came here because we had a Groupon, we would certainly... More

I took my family to Sabur because my younger son is spending a year in Bosnia and I wanted an authentic regional meal in his honor. Our experience was fabulous. My daughter and son had Lamb Bolognese and three of us had the Open Health Roasted Lamb. All were fabulous but the Bolognese was particularly good. The appetizers were really... More

Where to start with Sabur... The Mediterranean/Balkan food is beautifully done and quite authentic too. The service is warm and attentive, making you feel like you are eating in someone's home. The small room in the back near the bar is incredibly cosy, especially in the winter. The terrace next to the herb garden and plants is an absolute summer... More

This neighborhood restaurant just blocks from the lines and din of Davis Square is a cozy, friendly spot that is great for their wonderful appetizers with a drink or a full meal. We love to sit in the lounge for a laid back experience and watch soccer on a Sunday afternoon. It is easy to find a meal to suit... More

Service was rather absent, food itself was good. Goat cheese dish was excellent. Main course we had the lamb which had nice flavor but was on the Luke warm side. Overall it was a nice change of pace for dinner.

The lounge is an excellent place to meet a group of friends, order up a large mezze (hummus, grape leaves, pita, etc.) plate and sit back and chat. The cocktails are fun as well!

After years of passing by this place, we decided to check it out. Great choice! We enjoyed our meal in the comfy boho chic of the room where the bar is. With one minor exception, everything was fantastic, from cocktails to appetizers to entrees and desserts. The smoked mozzarella/duck ravioli and the fig baklava were particular standouts. (The hummus in... More

Sabur claims to be a Croatian restaurant, but it also has many middle east items on the menu. We enjoyed a Croat seafood medley that resembled choppino or a bouillabaisse, but with a wider variety of vegetables in the stew. Also a bit spicier. The other dish we ordered was a shrimp dish a medley of vegetables, most onions, peppers,... More

The owner is from Bosnia and the cuisine represents the unique location Bosnia occupies. Its near Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, etc. There are dishes at Sabur that fans of Italian or Greek food would recognize but there are also Balkan dishes that are not very common in this area. And all of them are excellent and the portions are solid.... More

On an empty Wednesday evening, we had an excellent dinner in the lounge. Our waiter was perfectly attentive, helpful, and entertaining. All our dishes, from the appetizers to desert, were delectable. The standout was their pasta, with perfectly al dente bolognese pasta and the lovely soft, sticky, gnocchi. What's most impressive is you get all this delicious food for an... More
