We stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. We were told that it was first come, first served, so we figured we should go early. We got there about 6:00 p.m. and had no problem getting a table in the corner. The menu is...More

Went two nights in a row to see two very different acts. Both acts very skilled, and both very entertaining. Ok, the waitstaff is too young to know what the heck they're doing, but they'll learn. Will go back whenever we're in the area.

My brother and I stopped in for lunch after going to the Norman Rockwell Museum. I had the turkey sandwich and my brother got the roast beef sandwich. They were both good sandwiches but, I liked the roast beef the best. The sandwiches came with...More

We got there a little before 4 pm. While opening was at 4pm it was no problem for the staff. They were very friendly, had a great attitude throughout. The food was very good pub food, hearty, not over salted. The local beer was great...More

When I am in the New England states, I always order clam chowder at each meal when I dine out at a restaurant. It was very good, and I detected a smoky flavor which I enjoyed (perhaps it was smoked paprika). A fun bonus for...More

Things at the Lion's Den just get better and better. I swear the service has been cranked up to the point I almost feel like royalty. And I've been going to "the den" for many a long year. Not sure what changed, but I like...More

The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.
