While staying in Waltham and visiting Boston and Salem we found this gem on the main street. We had a number of tapas plates and every bite was great. If I lived here I'd quickly become a regular. I highly recommend the pulpo (Octopus), oxtail,...More

We called to make sure we had a seat in this amazing and eclectic dining experience. Cuban food that leaves you craving for more. We started with the fritters, which you will wish you ordered an extra plate. The octopus was so succulent and flavorful,...More

Waltham has plenty of great restaurants, but this one is truly special. Adorable atmosphere, charming staff, and fantastic Cuban-inspired dishes. Even the non-alcoholic beverages were a delight. Great options for non-meat eaters. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back for dinner.

We decided to share small plates and were happy we did. We had a chance to try 4 plates and a salad and they were all amazing. Special standouts were the grilled octopus, the roasted cauliflower and the ceviche. We ended on a sweet note...More

Been here a few times, and the food was amazing, every time. Make reservations, the waiting can be brutal.

We have been here a number of times, but always find new dishes to try. This time we tried the beet salad (excellent) and the glazed ribs. We also had the ropa vieja tacos (which we really enjoyed from last time). The service is warm,...More

In Waltham, a city crammed with ethnic eateries, Gustazo is my new favorite. The food was beautifully prepared, mouth-watering, and inexpensive: my lunch came to the princely sum of $14.75. Everything is fresh and individually prepared, so they do run out of some dishes; go...More

The food was OK, the prices were decent, and service was good, but the restaurant was TOO LOUD, to the point that our ears were ringing when we left. Conversation is impossible unless you shout at each other.

Great unexpected find on a business trip to Waltham on a Sunday night. This small restaurant was packed and absolutely delicious. I love great Cuban food and rarely find it. The server made great recommendations. I loved the white sangria that had a spicy pepper...More

A great little restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. New and unfamiliar tastes. The two of us ordered six small plates and a side, which was more then enough food. Just one note of caution: the restaurant is quite noisy.

Description
The word Gustazo means great pleasure and “darse or dar un Gustazo” means to treat oneself or someone else to something special. Located in the heart of downtown Waltham overlooking the Common, Gustazo aims to bring authentic Cuban flavors to the vibrant Boston restaurant scene. Its festive and original decor embodies the spirit of Havana, with elements of Spanish colonial architecture, reminiscence of the 1950s and colorful Cuban modern art. In the kitchen, modern interpretations of classic Cuban dishes are crafted daily with the best available ingredients. When visiting this lively neighborhood restaurant, savoring our authentic Cuban fare and listening to our carefully selected compilation of Cuban music, we aim that you our guest, will have a Gustazo!
