Let me start by saying I have gone to Kyoto several times and never had an issue before but of course that is not what gets the review. Last night I took my friends from out of town to the hibachi and the chef (no names) was angry and disgruntled. He seemed like he had never seen or been to... More

This is a loud, echoey restaurant. The sushi and menu are not memorable, just OK. Their soup is lacking in flavor.

We brought a family group of 10 for a Sunday 4 PM dinner party after our daughter's University graduation, and this was a really nice experience. Huge thank you to our wait staff, particularly, the woman waiter who just knew how to anticipate needs individually, was really ahead of anything we needed. Food was great too. We ordered a variety... More

We visit this Kyoto often and we are never disappointed. We always eat at the grill and the chefs are always entertaining making it a fun time. The soup is always excellent. The salads hohum. The fried rice is awesome, always. We all had either chicken or scallops and they were both excellent. The only negative is the noise. It... More

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday night and had a great time. I had the swordfish and she the beef. They were both cooked on the cook stove in front of us. The chef was great and also entertaining. The meals were served with rice and onion soup. I asked to substitute the soup as I do... More

Average sushi with the normal run of the mill choices. We did not choose hibachi but rather the menu dining. The food was just average as well. We had plenty of leftovers but no doggy bag takers. On a high note the service was fast and friendly.

nice place, very attentive wait staff. excellent sushi and tepanaki. They have soy paper wraps here for those (like me) who do not like the seaweed wraps.

This is a relatively small restaurant with good food, friendly service and excellent prices. I especially like the teppanyaki.

The staff is very nice and friendly. MJ who works the bar takes very good care of us when we come in. The sushi is delicious and the fried rice is the best I have ever had! If you visit you must have one of their Mai Tai's, skip the small and go for the large!

Sushi is always good here. I prefer soy paper over seaweed and they have that. Tepanaki meals are also very good - most chefs are entertaining. I go here to get my favorite scopion bowls and mai tais. Friendly bar tenders.
