We were greeted by young girl in period costume stating her mother had been cooking all day to feed travellers. Then 2 ladies (everyone in costume) took our info in order to be seated at common tables for 8. There is a small bar you...More

This charming period tavern is a delight. The prices for a full dinner are more expensive, but there are several lighter dishes to choose from, and they are delightful. Served by period-clothed servers.

We ate here based on other reviews. The food was average. The price you pay is way to high was for the portion that you get.

The vintage dressed man at the door said, "Glad to see you--we have been waiting for you." And from that nice welcome through the end of our visit was all great. The rolls were out of this world, the iced mint tea and ginger drinks...More

1850 eating experience not that unique. the table is set with several rolls and the fixings. the prices are high but that's kind of to be expected at an attraction site like this. The food was tasty and filling. The trout was the best, the...More

When we were there on a Sunday, the place was packed and noisy. Just like it would have been in 1840! The Trout is amazing. One serving of fish was enough to share. The Washington cake with Bourbon sauce was fantastic. The beef looked good...More

Usually restaurants in attractions are overpriced or have bad food. We found neither to be the case here. And you get the added bonus of being transported back in time with costumed servers, communal dining and old fashioned menu offerings. We ordered the fried oysters...More

If you're already in the Village and enjoying all of its wonderful offerings, why not immerse yourself a little more? The menu is limited in food, as they are very traditional in their choices, and- be aware -it is pricey, but it is a nice...More

We splurged and enjoyed lunch here to celebrate our 28th anniversary. We are so glad we did! The food was fabulous! I loved the noodles used as straws for the drinks, and that the menu/food is prepared from 1840s-era cookbooks. My mint julep made with...More

Great place to eat to taste flavors of the olden days. This was a dinner with original flavors from the olden days. The environs are right out of the civil war days. I highly recommend it.

You must pay admission to Greenfield Village to dine at the Eagle Tavern. It is well worth the admission price to eat and tour the village.

We were told it means ditto and the places were the same as the stated one above; apparently it was used a lot in the 1840's the time period the restaurant is modeled after.
