Came here for Restaurant Week, so the menu was limited, however that did not detract from the deliciousness of the dishes. We are not red meat eaters, typically, but wanted to try the flat iron steak. That was a good call. It was excellent! Moist and tender and a little charred - makes one wonder why we give up red... I've been to Cliff Bell's a number of times, most recently for an evening of music and burlesque during Detroit Restaurant Week. Service was a little slower than usual, but the food and drinks were excellent. As other reviewers have noted, this place can get loud when there is live music, if that's going to be a problem ask to... More

Have enjoyed some amazing performances there. Was fortunate to be there during jazz fest a few years back and a time when the musicians from the festival were joining in the performances and put on an amazing show. Discovered one of my favorites that night, Cyril's Amie. The decor is perfectly suited. Not crazy about any of the food I've... More

We spent a night out at Cliff Bells with our friends. The location itself is really nice! Unfortunately the rest did not match our expectations: - service: our waiter was nice though it took over 90 minutes to get our food served (main course)...bummer. - food: the appetizers were really good, the six of us shared three of them (brussel... The last few times we've been here I'm left with the same opinion it's really only good for appetizers, drinks and music. Our dinners have been poor, sub par at best especially considering the cost. The Brussels sprouts were good, drinks were ok a little washed out. Lamb shank over done and lacking flavor. Steak much the same. Muscles tasted... More

many places *try* to be Cliff Bells, but this is the only version of an art-deco 1930s night club that is truly what you see in the movies. this place is a fabulous reminder of what the early part of the 20th century was like.

This place is kind of small, but the music, food, service and drinks are amazing. We went for my friend's birthday and the wonderful saxophone player (forgot his name) played happy birthday as the wonderful waitress brought her a cheesecake slice with a candle in it. I was so nice she almost cried!

Everyone, from the doorman to the waitress is VERY nice and welcoming. I regret I do not remember the waitress name because she was great! The food was delicious, the meat especially. There was a band so we got to eat delicious food listening to great music...it's everything you want to experience when in Detroit!
