Server was great but food did not match. Loaded fries used frozen fries and liquid cheeses not fresh. Sausage was great but ribs and brisket lacked flavor and was really dry.

Went with a friend for a pre casino dinner. Located in Greek town right across from the casino. The first thing you notice is the fabulous aroma when you walk through the door. We were seated immediately but we were early and the place fills up quickly. Our waiter was friendly and on the ball. I ordered the pulled pork... More

I have been here in the 2017 Saint Patrick's Day and I was expecting a very good Barbecue! The meat was cold and with bad taste, it was like frozen food brought in a supermarket! The service is amazing, but food it was really a bad experience! Not recommended at all!

Most people think that Slow's is the best barbeque place in Detroit, but I personally think this is the best. Quality has always been consistent and I prefer the atmosphere here. Also a better location than Slow's - walkable from most places downtown. I'm always in here with large groups of coworkers/friends, and service has been great every time. Very... More

Stopped in for a drink around midnight. Bartender was irritated that we didn't know what we wanted right away and that I didn't notice the flimsy paper drink menu laying on the bar top. I ordered a hurricane and my boyfriend got the pineapple infused vodka. The vodka was great but my drink was just awful. For some reason it... More

Just sitting in this place you'll here the help tell patrons that the food is better than Slows. Not to me it isn't. This place is located in Greektown. Probably for this reason, I paid more for a plate of pulled pork and got one less side than I would have had I gone to Slows. But all is not... More

This was our 2nd visit to Red Smoke which is in a great location, not far from the People Mover stop in Greektown. Our favorite dish is the Spicy Jamaican Chicken Wings. They are done to perfection, but perhaps a bit too hot for the average diner. The cornbread is also perfect. The Mac n Cheese was a little watery... More

Chose this to have diner at over all the other restaurants in the area..service was terrible and food was only so-so. I eventually had to go up to the bar myself to get the glass my husband requested for his beer and the server kept reaching over the end of the bar to pass us things instead of coming around... The food was the best part!!! It was cooked so well and it made my night! The service was very good and the wait was under 20 minutes and it was the night of the auto show and most places would have over an hour wait but not Red Smoke!!
