I've been going to Mario's for years. The ambiance and food is still wonderful. Nabil, our waiter, who we requested, did his usual exceptional job. Five stars again. Veal & beef are top notch. Our cousins joined us, and we'll all be back.

The food here never disappoints and there is always way too much to eat - this is a fun old school restaurant where they still do things the right way

First and last time at this restaurant. Went with a party of 25 on Thursday night for dinner. Two received something other than what they ordered and one received the wrong thing twice. I did not receive my dinner until all others were finished and their plates were being picked up. Sides and some of the main dishes were cold.... More

I made a reservation for 3 people for 5 pm yesterday, requesting to be near the fireplace because they don't turn the heat up. I arrived promptly at 5 pm, gave my name, the hostess said "Table for seven?" NO, I distinctly made it for 3 people. I asked again about the fireplace seating. I was told they would take... More

My wife and I purchased the theater package (dinner, transportation, tickets) to see the Thursday evening performance of Phantom of the Opera at the Opera House in Detroit. My upfront costs were $243.50 of which $178.00 were the face value of main floor seating. Since the math didn't make sense that you got a 5-course meal in a fine dinning... More

Went there on a Thursday for lunch. There were two bus loads of us, we were short on time but we called in our order ahead of time. They did not have enough staff so it took forever. I was the last one served and only got a few bites of my dinner and had to get back on the... More

The chicken had to be sent back twice because it was undercooked. A manager finally came out, acknowledged the cook was new and that' s where the problem was. Finally ordered a different entrée and it was just OK. Other people also showed dissatisfaction with their service and food. It was always a great place back in the day. WHAT... More

This past week we had two other couples join us for dinner at Mario's. To my surprise neither of the other couples had ever been to Mario's before and my guess is they won't ever be back. My wife and I have enjoyed dining at Marios for decades the food has always been great but the service has been less... More

On Friday, November 25, 2016, we ate at Mario's and will not return. The ambience is very nice, and it is relatively quiet. Most Italian restaurants now offer gluten-free choices but not this one. In fact, our waiter seemed annoyed that we even asked and asked us if we had ever eaten there before implying that we should know better.... More

Great looking place. The pictures of celebrities visiting are wonderful. The service - excellent. Downside...food is so so, and is pricey. I went thinking this could be a place for New Year's Eve, but the steak was underwhelming, especially for $40+. My wife had lasagna, which was good. Nothing was great. I wanted to love this place. I wanted it... More
