Gets busy for Sunday brunch so go early. An awesome variety. Great for all sorts of get together. Been there for drinks before too. Good bar atmosphere.

Fine night out turned into a late dinner. Fun atmosphere with lots of room to mingle. Highly Recommend the Poutine as well as Shrimp Tacos.

Upon entering Beggar's Banquet, the first thing you notice are the photos that include their fun history, introducing what is bound to be a great experience. This expectation continues with your first glance at the fun menu and doesn't end until your last sip and final bite. I HIGHLY recommend Sympathy for the Devil, their signature medium chili, a perfect... More

If you've never had brunch here on a Sunday, you're missing out. And if you've never had their Bloody Mary, you've never had a Bloody Mary. It wouldn't be East Lansing without Beggar's, this place is a local favorite.

While in town on business I stopped in. I've spent many evening dining at this establishment. The building is starting to look a little ragged. I don't think there have been any updating in many years. I had the rib eye steak. The steak was flavorless. The sides awful. Plus the prices have done up. Little disappointed in the meal.... More

Went here pre football game. It was packed and the 30 min wait for a table turned into an hour however it was well worth the wait. Very 70's decor and nothing fancy but we had the most phenomenal breakfast. My choice was the best breakfast I ever had-- Big Country--- biscuit with poached eggs, pulled pork, and a chorizo... I can't rate our experience here highly enough. The staff made everything so easy and they were so accommodating to our group. Our server, Kristen, was just great. Everyone raved about the brunch/lunch menu and the service as well. We had a wonderful family, pre-wedding mini-reunion thanks to everybody at Beggars Banquet.

This is THE place to eat in East Lansing. Harkening back to the 70s, it has ambience and charm. Food is always great, wine list outstanding, specials are consistently good. All it lacks is a way to eat outdoors in fine weather. I hope they can pull it off!

The MSU College of Communication Arts holds it pre-game gathering here the night before the Homecoming game, so faculty and alumni can get together and also watch the Homecoming game. The restaurant provides a very nice selection of hot and cold food, so while I have not eaten in the restaurant as a private diner I can say these folks... More
