Things started out shaky, but improved as the night went on. The restaurant had a decent three piece band playing when we arrived. The hostess decided to seat us directly in front of the musicians. (It would have made it impossible for us seniors to hear each other.) When I politely requested a seat further away, she shot me a... More

Stopped her to have lunch. My wife had the steak burger and I had the chili. Both were just good food. Great service friendly waitress.

Every time we go, usually after biking the Heritage Trail from Sleeping Bear Dunes, the food is consistently terrific

We took our family to this restraunt today when we were in town. We figured being in a high dollar tourist spot there would be good food. Burger was a pre formed patty, and fries were low quality. The Burger didn't have good flavor. I would have to say food was below average for even bars. Won't be going back.

This place is located in a log building and the crackling of the fireplace just welcomes you right in, on a cold rainy day. We ordered burgers which were cooked perfectly medium and medium well. The decor is classic "up north" feel with stone fireplace, taxidermy and hunting goods used are decorations. They can accomodate small and large groups and... More

Had been years since eating here- should have had a burger which we remember was very good. However, I thought I would try their Chili after asking the waitress and being told that it was good. It was touted as ground sirloin, but I found very little meat , very few beans, and mostly tomato sauce, tomatoes and onions with... More

Been here a few times since we live up here and have never been satisfied. The food is ok, but nothing special. The staff is unfriendly, untrained and inattentive. Seems no one is happy working here.

Boondocks was our restaurant of choice during a visit to Glen Arbor last week. Was expecting a great food experience based on previous visits to the Boons in Traverse City. Ordered ribs which we were told is supposed to be a house speciality. The ribs were so tough that they were too tough to eat. My partner ordered the salmon... More

October begins to limit restaurants that are open in the area. This is a large restaurant with a huge outdoor area (which was closed down). Nice casual place. Friendly service. Good food. Had fried zucchini and chili. Wife had mushroom cheese burger with fries which really good as was the zucchini. Good selection of beers. Our booth overlooked the closed... More

Boondocks was our "lunch" stop on our recent color tour trip around the Lelanau Peninsula. Good food and generous portions. We all love to stop here when we're in the area.
