I had the pastrami sandwich, it was essentially devoid of kraut (I opened it up to look, probably less than a teaspoon of sauerkraut on the entire sandwich). The very thick sliced meat was surely more than 30% fat and absolutely impossible to chew. In all honesty, it was easily the worst sandwich I've ever had. My husband had the... More

Beer is good. Favorite is currently the undertaker. Has chocolate, coffee and dark cherry notes. Friends enjoyed the food. And kid we had with us enjoyed the kids menu and coloring. Everyone supplied our table with generous food and drink. Knowledgeable staff. I have to look into bringing my own mug, quite a few folks brought their own.

Brewery Vivant is focused on belgian beers, and central european food. A great idea, but they fail to deliver. The decor, set in an old furneral parlor, is neat, but the place is increasingly loud. Not the place to have a conversation, the outdoor patio is squeezed between 2 buildings...not for the claustrophobic. Beer is honestly not that great, I... More

Unique and delicious food, beautifully plated. We had the liege dessert waffle and homemade ice cream. Both were top quality. The beer is very good. The flavors are similar to other Belgian beers I have had. Overall atmosphere is Belgian in general. I rate the beer a solid "B" and the desserts an "A." Families with young children were present.... The beer was good as was the service, decor and atmosphere. The food was disappointing. The squash soup was watery and mediocre, while I was expecting something exceptional for $8 for a cup! Would never order again. My husband's plate had Brussels sprouts that were underseasoned and undercooked and one waffle that was warm and tasty and one that was... More

The church/funeral home setting was really cool. This place opened at 3:00 on a weekday and it was packed in 10 minutes. I'm not a huge beer drinker but I LOVED the flights I had. Dividends Salted Caramel Ale was sooo good. I also liked Ski Patrol, Sentient Stout, Big Red Coq, Triomphe. Duck confit nachos were outstanding and the... More

This place is really cool. Nice outdoor seating area during the warmer months and inside it's just an old church turned restaurant Pub. The beer is very good I'm not sure about the sandwiches because we didn't order any because they were a bit pricey.

Beer is not really good, it's GREAT! Finished up with a great snifter of something that tasted like smoky peaty scotch. It was great to sip on while enjoying the chocolate dessert plate that was amazing. But before you have that make sure to have some fries, another treat! Staff is great, atmosphere is too.

We weren't overly impressed with this brewery. The setting was very cool, the pretzels were good and the beer only okay.

The beer was delicious but I should have taken heed from the other reviewers that stated what a limited menu that Brewery Vivant has. It is! One in our party is a pescaterian and only had the choice of a fish sandwich. She ate one bite (it tasted too fishy) and the waiter didn't even ask her if there was... More
