It is under new ownership and has a new name. Decor is improved and as well as the food quality. However, conversation is very difficult due to bad acoustics.

The old Village Inn is now the Brass Stag. The new owners remodeled the restaurant and updated the menu. The restaurant is now much nicer looking but is much noisier without the carpet. The service is slow and the food is only average. It's nothing special.

Very friendly and helpful waitress. The wet burrito and the grilled chicken sandwich were only fair.

I have been coming to the Village Inn for years. The pizza is delicious and you must try the Crazy Bites!! It is deep fried pizza dough with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

We moved to Grass Lake a few months ago and eat here at least twice a week. Burgers, hoagies, and the fish are always great. Wife loves the taco salad and the Reuben. Service is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. The place is packed on Friday and Saturday nights with overflow crowds.

Headed home from Jackson there isn't too many bars to stop at, found this little gem in Grass lake (Mi).The food was better than i would of expected from bar food and the drinks were strong enough not like some watered down franchise joint. Typical people hanging around outside smoking, like you find everywhere now a days. The darkhaired bartender was... More

The Village Inn starts out as a neighbothood bar but then has a very nice menu and is very nice in terms of having a lot of room. A long bar and lots of tables and booths to accomodate groups and families of any size. Two pool tables, a juke box, some games and some tv's complete the bar atmosphere.... More

The Crazy Bites/Elephant Toes are AWESOME. Fried dough bits covered with butter and garlic & cheese or cinnamon sugar (respectively). Ok drink specials. The other food is good, but nothing spectacular, and for what you get a it's a bit more than I'd like to pay. Definitely go for the drinks/appetizers.
