I always make sure I stop for breakfast when in the area. I have not made it for dinner yet as I am always fishing in the evening>

We have been coming to Grayling for years and have never tried eating at Gates AuSable Lodge until recently. We are very glad we did, because the food is very good, wait staff is quick and friendly, and the outside seating is very nice and...More

We stopped here for the first time on a Friday for lunch. At first I was wondering if people could find the place with only minimal signage. I needn't worry. The Lodge lot was near full, restaurant only had a table or two. The lunch...More

One of my favorite places to eat in town. Many diverse, delicious options available for lunch. The new outside seating is a luxury as you can sit along the river side of the AuSable. Although this is a bit out of town, Gates is worth...More

This is a combo of fly shop, restaurant & lodge. Rooms are basic motel style with full bath, dressing area, and bedroom/sitting area with TV, small table & chairs in front of a large picture window over-looking a lovely stream. They provide excellent fishing guides...More

Josh and staff do an excellent job here, and the food is fantastic! Great place to stay, great place to eat and great fly fishing service. It feels like coming home every time I walk into the place.

This is a very small, cozy spot with a beautiful view of the AuSable. Food is very good. Trout Hemingway was delicious and perch was also. Reservations are a must but it is a really fun experience. Cost was around 50 for the two of...More

I was staying at the Lodge and decided to dine at their restaurant. Tiny place - you need reservations for dinner. For a place this small they have a pretty extensive menu that includes several salads, fine appetizers, burgers, fish, poultry, steaks, and sandwiches. Lots...More

Go with a reservation. By far one of the best places to dine (not just Eat). Remember to bring your own bottle of wine.
