The brews available and the full bar allow for the most discerning customer to find their taste. Soups are great for the main course or your starter. The soups are a unique niche for this establishment.

We eat at the 8th Street Grill any time we are in Holland and always enjoy the Soup Bar. The Corn Chowder is 2nd to none and the blueberry apple crisp is delicious. Quick, friendly, and efficient service in a quaint vintage type atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

We visited a snowy day in January 2016. We were immediately seated as it was not very busy at that time. The food was excellent my salmon was cooked to perfection. Very nice downtown Holland restaurant for a sandwich or a meal. My only complaint is that it can become rather noisy in this restaurant and to hear someone talk... More

Went here twice for supper. First time just had soup. Very good. This time had sandwich...not that great. Skip the Mediterranean sandwich - dry, boring and cold even though it is a panini. Fries very good. Server was not the best. Needed a little bit of training in customer service.

Had been here a few times but the quality of food and the service has declined. Still friendly folks at the doors, but the experience start to drop the moment as soon as to get seated. Food was average but a nice, selection of craft beers, Obviously they don't cater to folks who enjoy GOOD wine.

We enjoyed lunch here upon the recommendation of friends. Nice selection of sandwiches, salads, and soups. The chicken corn chowder was a great choice. Our waitress was very friendly and was helpful with menu selections.

Stopped by after having lunch at another establisment for drinks on the sidewalk. It was a beautiful fall day and the foot traffic was moderate that day on 8th street. Very enjoyable time, waitress was friendly, and craft beer choices were superb.

Stopped here with my wife during a mid week visit to the Holland area. The restaurant was recommended by a nearby store. Being lunch time and later in the year, there were only a few other patrons there. Our server was polite, prompt and knowledgeable. I had the Street Scrubber sandwich and my wife had the Chicken Salad sandwich. Both... More

We go to Holland MI twice a year and always make a stop at the 8th Street Grill, because of the great soup bar and sandwiches. However, this last time, the soups were watery and lacking flavor. I hope that this was a glitch and not that they are slipping. The service was good, but not great as in the... More
