The parlor has been a Jackson landmark for many years. Some of the best ice cream and ice cream concoctions for 30+ miles. Make sure if you go, you go in hungry. The portions are surprisingly big. Wondwrfull treat any time of year. They also have children sizes too

No visit to Jackson is complete without a stop at the Parlour. Hint: split it! Not many can eat an entire desert here! Great classic ice cream parlor feel. They can get busy so come early or plan to wait a bit!

I cannot even begin to describe the enormous portions. The small banana split could feed a family. I have never seen ice cream scooped with hands before, as utensils aren't big enough. Don't have a big dinner before you go for sure. Customers were applauding each other as they finished their orders.

I have been going there for over 50 years. They still have the best ice cream ever. They also serve food but I haven't tried any because my sundae is my lunch/dinner.

The parlour is known for ice cream, and theirs in very good and generously sized, although their hot fudge is more reminiscent of chocolate pudding for some reason. The pleasant surprise recently were their sandwiches, we were really impressed and will add this to our list of favorite lunch spots!

Top quality ice cream with gut busting serving sizes. One of our group ordered the small banana split, did not finish it with valiant help from his wife. I played it cool and ordered just two scoops with hot fudge...could not finish it. Many flavors to choose from. And the premium quality ice cream takes you back to the days... More

Love this place. I have never gone there and ordered anything but ice cream...who could eat that much?? Each scoop is the size of a softball so you better be hungry! The ice cream is smooth and creamy. I did not like the hot fudge sauce as it had a chemical taste to it. That is the only negative I... More

Hop skip and jump from prison tour. Historical ice cream parlour. Food is below avg but great ice cream. We got amaretto cherry and bear claw. $3 a scoop.

We stopped here both for lunch and for ice cream. We loved the ambiance - set up as a 1950's ice cream parlour in a unique set-up. While there were some booths, they were mostly set up as single circular chairs at 3 counters. We loved the signs and juke box also sitting out. Piped music was mostly shoo-bop stuff... More

If you are in Jackson, take in the Parlour for ice cream. The food is ok but the ice cream is destination quality. Locals think it is expensive we think it is low priced!
