The Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent. The Chicken Jhal Frazi was great. The portions were big and had lots of flavor. Would return..

Usually buffets are not my thing but whenever I happen to be in Kalamazoo for lunch, I make sure that Saffron is one of my stops. The buffet consists of their saffron rice, a few vegetarian options, and a couple of meat options, along with...white rice, naan bread, salad, and their delicious dessert, badami kheer! Oh, and don’t forget to order and mango lassie. The veteran staff is always friendly and helpful too.More

We had dinner at ‘Saffron’ after a long day of travelling. We have eaten at the lunchtime buffet there on numerous occasions with great success and were interested to compare our evening dining experience. My husband and I both decided to have a biriani -...mine was chicken and he had the veggie option. Both dishes were served piping hot and plentiful. Mine had plenty of moist chicken which was delicious and my husband said his was very tasty too. We also ordered a couple of wonderful naan breads. Unfortunately we couldn’t manage to finish them as we were too full, but took them home with us and they made a tasty snack the following day. The speed of service and attentive but unobtrusive staff made our evening very enjoyable and it won’t be too long before we return to this very nice restaurant again.More

I recently moved from the Kalamazoo area to greater Minneapolis. I have yet to find an Indian restaurant that is even close to Saffron. Everything from the appetizers to the naan bread is simply fabulous. I find myself craving my favorite from here. I especially...love the Crunchy Chatpaty Aloo. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.More

Love this restaurant. We have had the buffet and off the menu and love both. We really enjoy the lunchtime buffet, however, because of the variety. Clean, super food, and very pleasant wait staff.

Pleasant well informed wait staff make this restaurant a pleasant experience. The buffet at noon is great with a full selection. Crowded usually, get there early, they open at 11:30. The dinner menu is varied and offers plenty of selections. We have never been disappointed.

We've been here many times, both for dinner and for the excellent, reasonably priced lunch buffet. The buffet changes, but always has really good, unusually moist tandoori chicken as well as excellent curries--on our most recent visit, a delicious mushroom and pea curry was my...favorite. At dinner, we love the vegetable pakora, lamb saag and garlic naan. This is among our favorite Indian restaurants, with consistently good food and very friendly and attentive owners and staff. Saffron is a must-go (at least once) on every visit to Kalamazoo.More

Great food selection, a good mix of Meat options and Vegetarian options, true flavors of India, not quite 100% but as close as you can get out side of the country. Service is nice, atmosphere is good our go to place when we want to...buy Indian food in Kalamazoo.More

So...this Indian restaurant is one of the favorites among people attending the medieval conference every spring at WMU. I've been 2 or 3 times now, and the food is good. The servers were slammed because of the 1000s of travelers, but stayed friendly and attentive....The food is very good, but the menu is not great for diners who know Indian food well. For example, what is "Hurly-Burly Lamb Chili"? It was tasty, but it's not vindaloo (b/c vindaloo dishes are labeled "blistering" or "blazing." It might have been rogan josh. The waiter said that "Hurly-Burly Lamb Chili" is the Indian name. Ultimately, it was a good curried lamb dish, and that's all that matters.More

Sorry for the late reply. You may order lunch from the menu for lunch. I do not know if they have changed their hours for lunch time.
