The food is good. There are a variety of dishes to sample from the buffet. Especially good for newbies to Indian food.

Been here multiple times. Everyone had something different every time and loved it every time! The food is full of flavor but not spicy. I would recommend this place to someone who loves flavorful food! The sauces they have in their dishes are so good! The naan bread goes great with any dish! I'm not a huge rice person but... More
I live in the metro Detroit area where there are many Indian restaurants. Some are enjoyable and others not so much. However a surprise contender for some of the best Indian food I have experienced in recent years is not located in east Michigan but instead in Kalamazoo. I recommend their lunch buffet which offers tasty vegetarian options (also non... More
My first night in Kalamazoo, my husband and I ordered take out and we're told to arrive in 30 minutes. When we arrived, The restaurant was very busy with a few parties waiting for a table, which I took as a very good sign. We paid and left, but when I checked the order, the naan was missing. I returned... More
Saffron has never disappointed. We have eaten at the lunch buffet (which is always changing) and have also been there many times for dinner. I am a fan of spicy food and the Vindaloo is top notch. Coupled with the saffron rice or any of the naan choices we always have great meals. My wife will typically get the chicken... More
Traveling for work and met up with my co-worker for dinner. I've had Indian food (I am from the Bay Area) but this place is really good. The garlic naan is flavorful, biryani is delightful and the chicken tandoori is delicious. The service is also good, water glass is always full, owner even stopped by to ask how we were.... More
Good food and a great place to go on a date if you both enjoy that type of food... Food is very flavorful... Saffron is nestled in a plaza-so there is plenty of parking and it is closed Sunday's... It's is family owned and operated...
We went for the lunch buffet and were clearly disappointed by the quality of food. The quality of rice was mediocre and apart from the Nan bread there was nothing that could distinctly qualify to be termed as Indian food. It seemed that most wouldn't know and the restaurant perhaps survives on its clientele's lack of knowledge of authentic Indian... More
Best Indian ever! As good as any I have ever had. Super friendly service. I had chicken curry at 7/10 heat and it was perfect for me. Basmati rice delicious with peas and herbs. Garlic naan awesome! Loved this meal!!
Ever time that we come here we receive bad service and cold food. There servers are very inattentive and the food tastes like it has been cooked sits under a heat lamp for some time before being delivered. We have never had a good experience here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone:

May we get lunch off the menu without getting a lunch buffet?
Does it open at 11:30 am for lunch on a lunch menu on Monday?
