Discovered this restaurant by accident after trying to track down a particular beach. Went with our toddler and staff were so ameniable. My husband had the Moules marinere which he loved whilst I had fish and chips (being pregnant I was relieved it wasn't just bread and chips on offer as I had feared) and our toddler dipped into both.... A pleasant half an hour's drive to this lovely little restaurant. We sat outside with a great view across the sea. We both had the mussels in Roquefort cheese. Very big portions and very nice. The only comment I would make is that it was a little salty, but then Roquefort is a salty cheese and it didn't make any... More

This is a well priced and lovely restaurant Would note that I found it difficult to book over the phone as French is not my first language and the man taking the booking was quite impatient and I think confused by my surname (McDonald - gets a strange reaction in France) Mussels were fresh and good portions. Table was a... More

Imagine you are by the water, several versions of accommodation of mussels are proposed to you and you just enjoy the surroundings and the taste of the preparation. Wouldn't that be a dream? It certainly was for me.

This small, local restaurant serves a menu of moules (or an entrocote if you prefer) with a special option for children. The moules, available in a variety of different sauces and served with frites as standards, were sweet and tasty, and well complemented by the cider that was available with it. Tasty desserts followed, with a good variety to choose... More

Everything about this location is fabulous, on a slipway onto the beach, the moules amphibious vehicles trundling past, it's own parking area, great outdoor seating area and lovely staff. The menu is moules in various flavoured sauces, my partner chose creamy garlic sauce, I chose the roblochon sauce. Now these moules are SO fresh that they appeared to make the... More

This restaurant unsurprisingly specialises in mussels being based on the coast alongside the mussel farms - you can even see the mussel collecting amphibious vehicle nearby. NB it does do other options - so those who don't enjoy mussels won't go hungry. The mussels in a light fragrant curry sauce were superb with plenty of crusty bread and fries and... More

Not easy to find, but the best and freshest muscles I have ever had. This is a serious eating establishment. The portions are large and very fresh; like REALLY fresh. Try the cider with the moules. It is an excellent local combo.

My parents live not too far away in plangounoual, I come to this place to eat every time I'm over which is a couple of times a year. I always make at least a couple of trips here every visit. Food is exceptional, the moules are their signature dish and absolutely fantastic every time. They do other dishes which are... More
