We had all but given up dining here...run down, cheesy decorations and so-so food. What a transformation! Decor has been updated and is beautiful! Had the deep fried portabello/cheese bites and a flatbread pizza...delicious! Smugglers is definitely back on our list of "let's go back" restaurants.

Our first time here & it won't be our last. The staff was tremendous, very friendly, even though they were very very busy the staff acted like they were glad we were there. The food was very good, a little pricey for this area but well worth it. Our waitress, Shauna, was always smiling & wanting to help. The service... More

This neat place on Hess Lake (a little off M-37) is the "go to" place for special events, as well as daily meals. I've been there many times over many years. It's had a nifty "face lift" with recent interior renovations. Varied menu has excellent choices of fish, beef (prime rib and steaks), soups, sandwiches, all wonderfully prepared. Owner is... More

Atmosphere casual/beachy. Restaurant on Hess Lake. Lots of boat access or from the road with ample parking for cars and boats. New decor, carpets and menus. Lots of old favorites on the menu and a few new offerings plus daily specials. Full bar. Grateful they still broil fish!!

The lakeside atmosphere is a welcome attraction. The food and service make it a desired location. My family has enjoyed a variety of treats at Smuggler's Cove. Their Fish and Chips make my mouth water. As I savor the pollock in breading, I can close my eyes and imagine I'm in an English Pub. We have returned frequently for said... More

Went on a thursday nite and they offered a 2 for $20 special. All 3 couples ordered special. Our special was the perch with salad appetizer or sundae. Salad was a bit brown and fried mushrooms were horrible.... looked like burnt buttons. They have you enormous amount of fries and about 6 slivers of perch. Waitress dropped one of the... More

It was a nice sunny day so the deck was nice overlooking the lake. Service was ok. Food was ordinary and very pricey. The inside looks like it needs a good cleaning. Probably won't go there again.

Decent service, I have worked here before, so the waitress do not treat me as they would an actual customer. Very good food. I have never been sick from their food. I would always recommend the food here.

Got there early on a weekday for lunch; 11;30. By the time we left, it was near full. Good food, decent service. (only bad part about the service was how long it took to have someone come to the table to take the order) The food was good, hot, and served quickly after ordering. It's pricey for the atmosphere.

We love this restaurant! Sitting right on Hess Lake, it has a great view and an outdoor deck. Good selection of food and service is always quick. Enjoyed the perch and shrimp. Stop in and see for yourself!
