Came here on the second day they opened for the season. Very friendly server (Ron) who helped make the experience memorable. Had the fried chicken and the petite filet with all of the sides (mashed potatoes, buttered peas, homemade noodles and biscuits.) The filet was cooked nicely and was a generous size. Had the creme brûlée dessert and it was... More

Many families make this summertime restaurant a regular destination event. They are known for their chicken dinners which are good. We also get other menu items such as smoked pork chops. They have a super cool bar that you should definitely check out. Two full meals, drinks & dessert cost us around $100.

Great place foe fine dining. Menu has a large and varied selection and the prices are reasonable. Plan to visit again next trip to the area.

The place is definitely busy so expect a modest wait time. It is well worth the wait. Went there with a large group and we all ordered the all-you-can-eat chicken. Wow, was it delicious. The chicken was moist and the sides were abundant. They make the best homemade butter noodles and the biscuits are hot from the oven. Friendly waitstaff... More

Reasonable wait time and well decorated with a Halloween twist (October and last weekend open for the season) Do Not wait out in the hallway as they will not come out to you to ask if they have your name , you have to walk up to the booking stand. We had heard so much hype about the place that... More

Definitely retro, homey and cozy. We each ordered the chicken Plate, rather than Family Style, still more than we could eat. Waitstaff was pleasant and professional. View of Maple River, with fall colors was wonderful too.

It was a beautiful fall Saturday, and we decided to drive to the Dam Site Inn before they closed for the season. We had a taste for their wonderful chicken dinners. Many others had the very same idea, and the many tables quickly filled up. We had our usual yummy chicken dinner, but not the all you can eat this... More

Fried Chicken, Perch, and Smoked Pork Chops. Can't get them better anywhere else. Plus homemade noodles to die for. If you have to crawl, go there. It's the best in Michigan.

I have been going to this restaurant for probably 20 years and I am never disappointed. The chicken dinners are amazing. They have a very extensive menu but I have never had anything but the chicken. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The decor is great. You would swear you were in a 1960's club. I don't think... More

Initially one might think this is simply a throwback to the 50s restaurant style, but it is more than that. It took us over 20 years to finally have dinner here... mostly because we couldn't quite fathom a chicken place being that good, having visit several others in the state, famous for their chicken but not being up to the...
