I love old things, so I really enjoyed the character and decor of this converted bank building. The fresh bread was very good, as was the lake perch. The ribs, which were a special that evening, were very tender. My daughter and I did not...More

The wife and I visited The Bank 1884 on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 for lunch. We were taking a day trip around the thumb (M25) for “Our Michigan Travel” blog and started at the top in Port Austin. The Bank 1884 is a unique place...More

On our tour of the thumb of Michigan we decided to give this restaurant a try for lunch. The hamburger was huge and the service was good. The ambiance of the old bank also added to the experience. Worth checking out!

Under new ownership, the Bank has an updated menu. You can expect friendly service, a fun atmosphere, and a nice dinner. The food was a bit salty, but we enjoyed our meal.
