Got turned on to this place by an old friend who works at Detroit Metro airport and frequents it (it's within 5 minutes of the airport). The food is great and the atmosphere is terrific for kicking back and enjoying a couple hours with friends. Whenever my high school and college clan have a "mini reunion", we have it here.... More

Prices were good, but another place serving ridiculous portion sizes. Food was ok, they are more interested in quantity than flavor. The pulled pork was bland, the sandwich came with two ham steaks on it for some reason. For a nearly empty restaurant when we came in, had to beg for a menu while 5 wait staff had an endless... We were recommended to this place from the car rental place. Walking in we were surprised how LOUD it was. Bar atmosphere, but kids were there playing pool, jukebox and TV's all on mostly the same channel. We waited for our server, then got out food, mostly correct, but it was good.

My husband had a pulled pork sandwich that came with a huge pickle and slaw which was delicious and juicy.I had something like and Italian Hamburger. What I truly like is when they ask me how I would like it done !!! Yes , homemade burgers . I was so happy : real food - good price ! Come hungry.... More

For casual bar & grill food, especially sandwiches, this place can't be beat. Sandwiches are large and if you're not a big eater, you may not finish one if you also get a side of fries to go with it. I've loved the Wheat & Ryes for many years and although some have closed over the years, I still enjoy... More

I love the wheat and rye. It's great food, very cheap and big portion sizes. They have happy hour between 3pm and 6pm in weekdays serving beers for $2 so it's unbeatable. I are the Cajun burger and I was impressed with the bread itself, soft and tasty. Wheat and rye is amazing

We are timid Canadians and tried this place because of their Yelp review. I was immediately scared, but then took a look at the general population filtering in and found that there were all sorts of people coming in ...and after ordering, WE COULD SEE WHY! Yes, it's a bar, but THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT! We caught... More
