Just moved to the area and thought we would try breakfast here. It is also a bakery. Not impressed. For tourists, not what I expected. You don't get much for the money and we were still hungry. It was worth a try, but will stick...More

Read about the Village Bakery on Trip Advisor and the positive reviews are correct. Stopped for lunch on Sunday and were seated in an area that seemed like the corner of someone's dinning room complete with paintings. Very nice Ordered the Feijoada (fesz-wada) soup and...More

Stumbled across this place Saturday looking for a quick treat. After being greeted by Sara, the owner who was so friendly and gracious we quickly moved the car out of the 10 minute take out spot. This place is not just a bakery. It's a...More

I hate to admit this - but we have lived here for over 20 years and had never been in the Village Baker - thinking it only a bakery. Yesterday while coming through Spring Lake, we spotted a new sign in their window - Manhattans,...More

A homely bakery with tasty snacks or sit down food made daily. I suggest that you try the pretzels, they are the best ones I ever tasted. Muffins, cookies, scones, brownies, and drinks are always good. I haven't tried something I haven't liked.

Wonderful variety of pizzas. Try them all, mix up the toppings. Try a new wine from the fantastic wine list or a new beer from the tap or cooler. And don't miss the opportunities to talk to your table neighbors, you might just be surprised...More

Let me start out by saying that the service and food at the Bakers Wife is outstanding and breakfast at the Village Baker is the best in the Tri-Cities. Ok, so let me address the Village Baker dinner service. The food is consistently great, the...More

A local friend insisted I stop in to get some garlic cheddar. I also got a pretzel and their coconut cake also. Everything we tried was delicious.

The Village Baker opened July 2011 with Sara Rathbun & Oran Rankin serving locally sourced homemade food. Our founders wanted to create an eclectic atmosphere that would bring our community together through delectable dishes and casual dining. Since then, our chefs have been serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and new ventures into the uncharted territories of food.

The Village Baker's interior, filled with second hand and hip sensibilities, was pieced together by Sara herself and reflects the beautiful and romantic style of our surrounding area. The restaurant offers choices of comforting custom pizzas, perfectly unique bread options, and memorable sandwich combinations. Spanning across menus that delve into breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you'll be sure to find exactly what you were looking for in a small town restaurant.
