We opted to go to Bellisios on a Sunday evening~no reservation. The place was half full at best. The hostess told us they were just cleaning a few tables and it would be a few minutes....along comes a couple, walk in, no reservation & they...More

Consistently very good place to eat and rest when walking about in the Canal Park district. Excellent waitress, and food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Recommended.

We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon and got right in with 6 people. Service was attentive. Manager came out and was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding our son's food allergies. Food took a little long to come out, but was worth the wait....More

Nice place and excellent service but the food is just ok, mediocre actually. For the price, I was expecting much more. I won't go back.

Bellisio’s manages the neat trick of being simultaneously casual and upscale. It’s the best place on Canal Park for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. The interior is dark, with a mural of an Italian village on one wall and floor-to-ceiling wine racks on...More

Great deal on wine and apps....we each ordered 2 glasses of wine....happy hour ended in 15 minutes.....and a couple of apps. Dinner for two on a budget. Nice atmosphere, polite, helpful waitstaff and a great selection of wine. Next time we go with a bigger...More

Ate here for lunch. Friendly staff and great service. Food was pretty good...my husband said his pasta had a great taste but wasn't hot. My sandwich and fries were good. Gordon Ramsey needs to makeover this interior tho....

All four of us enjoyed a lovely dinner here, but two of us had the fennel roasted rack of pork and agreed that it was probable the best pork dish either of us had ever eaten. The wine list is very large and even the...More

We are regulars here and have both consistently good service and good food. If we are out and on a whim, we will turn here, because we have discovered that excellent customer service means just as much to us as the food itself.

I really liked the menu - small but full of good stuff (and good stuff for vegetarians if you are one), so we tried this restaurant for lunch. LOVED it! They had a 3-course lunch offering and I tried it - perfect! Enjoyed a small,...More

Great question! I would have to say that our traveling guests hear about the great walleye in Minnesota and because we live on Lake Superior we feel it's important to offer a walleye dish. Our Walleye Milanese has an... More

We also were in very casual clothes. If you wanted to make it a dressy, special occasion, you'd be fine. if you'd been exploring Canal Park all day, you could show up in casual clothes as well. Hope this helps!

Description
Classic Italian dinning and Wine Spectator award winner since 1999 Bellisio’s restaurant conjures up images of highly skilled chefs, fine wines, superb service, and fresh Italian food. And while all this is most certainly true, one must not forget that Bellisio’s is above all an experience. An exceptional dining experience, to be precise, but one that takes place in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of the quaint eateries and wine bars of the Italian countryside. And no wonder. The experience is fashioned after the small village of Bellisio, Italy, home to the owner’s ancestry. Imported direct from Italy are the beauty, comfort, romance, and glorious recipes. Specialty dishes include perfectly prepared pasta dishes using the finest imported and local ingredients; fennel roasted rack of pork; homemade risotto dishes; grilled steaks; shrimp; seafood; and a fresh catch feature every day. All served with a world class wine menu to match. Bellisio’s has received Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” every year since we opened in 1999. It’s a simple, colorful, elegant, and exceptional dining experience.
