This is a fabulous place to dine. Spotlessly clean the decor is bright and lovely. The service was brilliant. Now the food, what can I say except it wS perfect. The beef roast wS succulent, the vegetables were tender and the dessert, lemon tart was...perfect. Well done Chef. We will definitely be coming back, it wS a perfect lunch for both of us. Thank you.More

We came after being at Alton Towers for my husbands 40th. We had a large group of 16 and some of us were 45 mins late but you were all so patient with us and accommodating. Not to mention how delicious the food was! We...were planning more trips to the area and look forward to coming back for more of your very yummy food 😁More

We completed a lovely walk with lunch at the queens. Even though it was almost closing time and 5 minutes to end of food service for the afternoon they could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We sat outside in the lovely beer garden...with our dogs who enjoyed the attention off the staff. Food was delicious. Scampi was fresh and fantastic portion and my daughter finished the meal of with the biggest sticky toffee pudding we had ever seen. We had to share of course!! Fantastic pub to find on our walk. If we had been staying in the area longer we would most definitely have returned.More

We booked in on Saturday night as we were having a weekend away locally with family to celebrate birthdays. What a find, a lovely atmosphere, exceptional service and simply wonderful food. All six of us enjoyed it so much, we went back the following day...for Sunday lunch and it was just as fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough.More

Despite all my travels and usually reading T/A beforehand I am sometimes surprised by my visit to a restaurant. This was one of those occasions. Five members of our family visited for a Sunday lunch. Each had different starters and main courses. Some even managed a...pudding! I can honestly say everything was of an outstanding quality and the service from all staff was exceptional. Will be returning.More

Large family group (10 people) visited for dinner. Food was amazing, very welcoming, service impeccable. We had a couple of random requests which were accommodated immediately without difficulty. Patient with kids. Highly recommend for a quality meal in a lovely location, booking advised as full...even on a weekday! Only point to be aware of: dogs are not allowed inside unfortunately (small beer garden and own car park to leave in car if weather & dog allows).More

If you like fantastic food, a warm and happy atmosphere and a clean environment then come here! We popped in on a Tuesday evening after visiting the Alton Towers water park and didn’t expect it to be so full. Luckily they had a table free...in their sunny outside area - make sure you book if you want to make sure you get a table! This is testament to what a great place this is to eat. We ordered the steak, a kid’s chicken strips and chips and a kid’s creamy pasta. All of it was absolutely delicious! We also ate dessert which was equally as good. As a family who eat out regularly, we recommend you visit this pub. The staff were happy to talk to our children despite being very busy. Thank you for a lovely evening to finish off our little family holiday.More

Wife and myself, our son and daughter together with my parents visited again and as per usual weren't disappointed. Food was excellent, my particular meal was a change from my usual selection of beef and merlot pie. Catalan chicken and was superb (definitely chose that...again next time). Adrian was the excellent host as usual and the young girls waiting on were polite, friendly and very efficient. After visiting many restaurants over the years, The Queens still remains at the top of our favourite list, well done Adrian and your staff.More

Called in for some food after a random drive and I’m so glad I did. The pub is beautiful, modern and traditional at the same time, and very clean, and from the second I walked in I felt at home, friendly and attentive staff make...all the difference, so I sat down with my pint and eagerly awaited my Barnsley Chops, I didn’t have to wait long either, twenty minutes tops, and I wouldn’t have complained if I’d waited for a week they were that good, I often choose lamb if it’s on, rarely is these days, but I don’t think I’ve ever eaten lamb so good. Dauphinois potatoes and plenty of vegetables as standard, in a very friendly and relaxed environment. I don’t really need to say much more!More

My grandad , Gwynn Harris (Adrian knows him) has been coming for many years and is always speaking to highly of this place . Myself and my partner came for just a drink this Sunday evening expecting to be turned away like everywhere else we...had tried including the star at cotton and a few other pubs . Grace who was soooo lovely and straight away said it was no problem atall and got us a drink. She was amazing and is such a credit to you Adrian !! After a few wines I decided I couldn’t be bothered to go home to cook and if possible would we be able to get a meal. They were so accommodating and it was no problem atall. We had the Merlot pie which my grandad loves and it was lovely . After trying so many places on a Sunday and been let down we have now found a pub we can visit and not feel like an inconvenience . Thankyou so much . Natalie and Matt xxxMore
