We recently dined here with a group of 5. The food was uniformly delicious and the tofu was the best we had ever encountered, being crunchy on the outside and so very soft inside. We got orders of crabmeat balls, crabmeat buns, wontons in hot sauce, dan dan noodles, Mapo tofu with pork, green beans (these were exceptional), Kung Pao... More

For me, the best recommendation for any ethnic restaurant is to see customers from that country. Good food, and wait staff who will remember you.

The best Chinese food in the Twin Cities. It is the sister restaurant to the Tea House in St Paul only kicked up a notch. Highly recommend it.

Nothing amazing, but just the kind of local Chinese I was hoping to find delivered. One delivery took 20-min, the other 45-50, but the portions are good and the food does the work

We will be back- the food, service and prices were all great. We tried many of the items and we will back back to try others! We enjoyed the the following appetizers in order if our favorites: Hot Sour Soup ($2.75), Mini Juicy Buns ($7.50), and the crabmeat balls ($6.95). Next we enjoyed our entrees of Pork in Garlic Sauce... More

Don't miss out on the soup dumplings (steamed dumplings that yield a nice broth inside once cooked). Spicy fish is our favorite dish here. Have tried several places for authentic cuisine in the cities, and this one is hands down our favorite -- for the choices, the quality and the value.

Our group of four tried two appetizers (juicy buns and Szechuan wontons in hot sauce) and four entrées (tea smoked duck, Hunan pork, orange chicken, and Szechuan Spice stirfry). The wontons were delicious (and slippery little devils to eat with chopsticks) but the juicy buns were very bland and the dumpling outer shell was doughy. The buns were served with... More

We have eaten at Szechuan Spice about 4-5 times for lunch. Usually we take out. The place is never busy and it makes me worry because the food is quite excellent and they are willing to make it spicy if you ask them to. So many places detect my white guy voice and give me white guy spice levels. Ok,... More

We wanted to try something different than our usual restaurants. I searched and found a list of 18 “essential” restaurants in Minneapolis. This one was on the list. There is metered street parking in front. We parked one block behind the restaurant where there is free street parking. We didn’t know they had their own parking lot on the other... More

Located in Uptown area of Minneapolis. Great selection of dishes and appetizers. We all had shrimp dishes. Server was well acquainted with menu and knew what ingredients were used. . High in quality, a little lacking in proportion size (no leftovers). Attractive simple decor.
