My niece and her sweetheart had their wedding reception at the Butcher and the Boar. It was an evening of buffet servings. Each one provided a variety of the restaurant's delectable dishes. The staff provided superior service. I would recommned an evening meal at the...More

The receptionist at the Hyatt recommended this restaurant. It was very disappointing: I asked for a medium rare steak and received a medium steak. The meat was chewy, over-salted and cold. The sides were minimal and the price maximal. The service was not what I...More

Amazingly HUGE pork chops. Beef ribs that slid off the bone. Carmalized broccoli and mash potatoes whipped like silk. OMG this place rocks. Spendy, but worth every penny!!!!

This restaurant is my favorite in Minneapolis. I have been visiting the city annually since 2013 and Butcher & The Boar is a must stop. The pork chop and Brussel sprout is my favorite. Can't wait for my August 24 birthday dinner. It's a must...More

It's worth the accolades and the hype. Small group dinner on a Tuesday night and it was incredible. Flavors and combinations are exceptional - nothing pretentious or absurd like BBQ chicken three ways with deconstructed sauce...just plane awesome food. Must tried: - sausage sampler app...More

I had the pleasure of trying this jewel in the heart of downtown Minneapolis! The food is very rich but the sauces to die for. A must have is the Long Rib, slow cooked and fall off the bone - like biting in a little...More

I'm from out of town and this place is very unique. They set themselves to be different than other places. The atmosphere is great and their food is awesome. I had the Brussell sprouts and sausage. Had the catfish sandwich with fries. Great taste. Some...More

Butcher and the Boar is hands down my favorite restaurant in MPLS. Service, food, atmosphere is all excellent. My favorite thing to get is the eye of ribeye. Only complaint is that the beer garden got rid of their wings, they were on point.

On the last night we wanted a relaxed but good meal and weren't disappointed. There's a good ale and wine menu. I had the Prime Rib Cap medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. Not an over baring steak but very juicy and flavoursome. We ordered...More

No official dress code, however if you're going for dinner I wouldn't dress down too much, you'll feel out of place. It's a downtown, more "fancier" restaurant, so people naturally get a bit more dressed up.
