When a restaurant has "bar" in the name one might expect it to have a bar. To my disappointment Broder's does not serve liquor, just wine and beer. Wine selection in terms of quality wines was disappointing. On the plus side, the food was fantastic! Next time I go I will find a local bar for a pre-dinner martini and... More

Finally made it out to this restaurant after hearing rave reviews. It definitely lives up to their reputation - good, fresh, made to order pasta dishes. This is a tight-quarters type of restaurant - you're so close to your neighbors you can hear every word of their conversation and vice versa. There is seating around the bar if you don't... More

Broder's opens their doors at 430, we arrived shortly after 500 prepared to wait for a table. The host team was very welcoming. We waited for an hour, but our meal was worth the wait. The small dining room neatly packs in patrons, almost elbow to elbow. The service is efficient, but not terribly conversational, likely because they're too busy... More

The food is amazing but so is the ambience. It's small and cozy. You will have a wait on weekend nights but totally worth it!

Very difficult to get in and limited parking. We ate on the patio/bar and ordered appetizers and they were not very good. The service was also very slow.

The Caesar salad to start was remarkable. They even split onto two plates, which many restaurants won't do. Everyone had pasta, surprise. We all had seasonal dishes, one a carrot gnocchi ; very dense and filling, but delicious; another a pork belly with pasta; a classic with made-in - house spicy sausage ; finally one with a tender, perfectly cooked... Tried Broders because it was a Diners Drive In & Dives. The food was very good! Guy usually has good stops to try to visit.

While in Minneapolis for a Vikings game I searched trip advisor for a good Italian restaurant. What a find this was!! We waited an hour for our table and it was so worth it. Best mussels since we were in Italy. Great wine and pasta. Loved it.

We read the reviews on tripadvisor and thought since we were in Minneapolis we would try. Unfortunately, we arrived at Broders at around 6 pm on a friday and had to wait for an hour, but it was worth every minute. Every aspect of our meal was great from the homemade bread to the Pasta noodles. We plan on going... More

Description
Located across the street from our original deli, Broders' Cucina Italiana, Broders' Pasta Bar has taken the art of fresh pasta one step further. While the Cucina sells pasta to customers who want to cook at home, the pasta bar was designed to delight our customers with pasta cooked the way it is meant to be. Each of the 22 or so pasta and risotto on the menu are cooked to order and served steaming hot. Those seated at the bar get the best view of our pasta chefs cooking their dish, which is always 'al dente' and carefully tossed. This is not a pasta restaurant that ladles on white or red sauce nor is it a chain. Each dish gets an individual sauté of the highest quality fresh ingredients. Great care is taken in the daily production of our fine egg pasta which is also sold to cook at home in our deli across the street. Our menu changes seasonally and there are always daily specials. Many of our customers love to order our pasta for takeout. One caution though - the best takeout pastas are those with macaroni pasta we import from Italy (penne, spaghetti, rigatoni, etc) rather than our homemade egg noodles which should be eaten as close to cooking time as possible. Though the emphasis is on quality food, you will enjoy the charming atmosphere and neighborhood feel of the restaurant and, in summer months, the wine and antipasto bar on our patio. We look forward to welcoming you for dinner.
