My boyfriend and I were visiting Minneapolis and decided to go to Nicollet Island where we stumbled upon this gem. We were not dressed up but felt comfortable going in for a bowl of soup and some hot chocolate. It had a beautiful atmosphere and...More

Went to the Nicollet Island Inn for Christmas Tea with a friend. Here's the deal, they don't tell you that the tea will be in the lower level. The restaurant has an amazing view overlooking the view but this is held in a room downstairs...More

A pleasant place to have a leisurely brunch, the set menu will not break the bank, the food is well presented and the waiting staff are obliging.

I have some mixed feelings about this place. We had an absolutely incredible meal here many years ago, but I’m sure most of the staff has since changed out. The evening we went here this time was OK. **If you go try the scallops with...More

It was a joy eating delicious meals in the company of waiters who were professional, yet unpretentious, helpful in their suggestions, witty and so very pleasant. Truly remarkable experience for dinner that we found repeated for breakfast with different waiter entirely.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world (and I’ve eaten at some really nice places.) We had the Chef’s Five Course Tasting; last night it was a shrimp cocktail appetizer, Strawberry/Baby Spinach salad, Scallops with Lobster Butter Risotto, Filet Mignon with Bordelaise followed by...More

We stayed at the Nicollet Island Inn recently and were very pleased with the restaurant there. In fact, we ate breakfast twice and dinner twice in the restaurant's bar. The quality of food and service was top notch. With all the good Minneapolis restaurants to...More

This is not a cheap place, You're looking at a $75 meal all in. But it doesn't serve she-she-foo-foo food. You get real servings of really good food. The setting is lovely and history, the meal is slow and relaxing. This is old school fine...More
