Went to meet a friend and his buddy for a drink. This used to be one of my favorite places. They had been there for one drink at the bar and had moved to a booth to order their second, which they were already working...More

This was such a great little bar to visit while in Minneapolis. Rather than a soulless room there was a great juke box, friendly bar service and a welcoming vibe. I would definitely be more of a regular if I lived there. Prices were great...More
Great interior look, good drink specials all day and music history makes this place a must see! The bartender was very friendly also.
It's hard to find more of a classic dive bar in south Minneapolis. Great happy hour and specials. Great people watching, better story listening(the customers struggles)... Not sure I would eat here, but great place to grab a drink and feel better about your life.

Good drinks- horrible food & slow service. Place is a true dive bar complete with ratty booths, sticky floors, and dirty bathrooms.
i wrote a $5 dollar tip on the receipt, 3 days later my card statement charged me for a $15 dollar tip,,, shady place, waitress must have manipulated my receipt...never going there again
I feel like a bad Minnesotan, having never entered here in my 32 years on this planet. It is divy, looks like it should be in NE, not on Lyndale next to French Meadow. Standard beer choices, lots missing from the taps that were listed...More

This place is bomb. Nothing fancy, but the staff are real people, the food is hot and generously portioned, and the bathrooms aren't too bad. Blessedly free of pretentiousness, the CC is always the best choice in uptown.
