We have been here a couple times in the past few years and happened to be in the area and decided to stop in again. I was a little concerned when we entered and no one came to seat us, but a woman in the bar saw us and apologized and invited us to sit wherever we wanted. The décor... More

One of the things I like here is the fact that they don't change it, still reminds you of a simpler time when people ate good food and carried on good conversations over dinner without any phones at the table. The ribs and German dishes are very good. It has the old "supper club" ambiance. If there is a complaint... More

From the German language featured in the restaurant name and menu to the amazing and authentic German food, this restaurant - located in the heart of the most recognizable German town in the entire Midwest - is a must for any visitor! I have been here several times, and I always feel complete once dinner is over. This is how... More

We went there for a basketball tournament and they had plenty of room(s) at this restaurant. The ambiance and decor are great! Wide variety of delicious food to choose from if you don't care for German cuisine. The homemade sauerkraut is amazing!

Funny thing about South Dakota is we have a lot of Germans and Norwegians, but no German or Norwegian restaurants! Was lucky enough to eat at the Kaiserhoff in a group setting (limited menu). However I found all I needed in the German platter. Lots of food and hard to stop. The sausages were amazing, the Kraut... out of this... More

The schnitzel was perfectly done, moist on the inside, breading lightly flavored. We had the apple strudel for dessert which was delicious. It was a warm and inviting atmosphere.

It had been a while since we had been here and we were so glad that we went back! There is a wide variety of options and each member of our party of seven had something different and every meal was excellent! We were most impressed with the scallops- cooked to perfection!

We wanted to have a nice dinner for our 48th anniversary! We had the ribs and the chicken. Both were excellent and generous portions. The ribs are some of the best in the area!

We had a great lunch of a German platter and enjoyed the free jukebox of so many great oldies with plenty of beer choices to pick from. We will come back for Octoberfest!

To be fair, we didn't go here to eat. We just wanted to have a cocktail, after eating across the street at the Lamplighter. When we walked in, we noticed the place was nearly empty at 7:30p on a Saturday night! The bartender looked up at us (not sure what she was doing) with a scowl on her face, so... More
