Was craving Korean and stopped in at Sole Cafe on Snelling. Great soups! Perfect for a cold winter day. Staff very friendly.

The Korean Seafood Pancake and the grilled salt mackerel were excellent - exceptionally great tasting fish. The chef came and answered my gluten free concerns. She knew what she was talking about, both with the gluten and how she made authentic Korean food. No doubt one of the greatest Korean food experiences I have had in the USA.

A friend and I had lunch here today and were very satisfied with both the food and the service. Cannot fathom why some of the reviews were unfavorable because we enjoyed it immensely. It is rather nondescript on the outside and had it not been recommended by a former employee we probably would not have stopped. It is on a... More

1st Asian restaurant we've ever been to that had no tea to serve when requested. The wait staff had no idea what was in dishes: when asked what kind of beans were used in a certain dish; she said i'll ask the chef; returned , stated-regular beans. Furthermore, the food was mediocre at best. We were the only non-Asian people... More

It was the first time we ever tried a Korean Restaurant. We loved it and the wait staff was very helpful in explaining different dishes to us. Great lunch specials and great prices. Great service as well.

Excellent bibimbap which you can get either cold or hot in a traditional stone bowl. Very popular with Korean students but they're very welcoming of non-Koreans as well. Simple, unpretentious atmosphere, good value, quick service.

Not a destination for foodies but if you're in the Korean neighborhood of N. Snelling, it's an inexpensive authentic experience. My friend had the most fun with his hot stone bowl rice and beef meal that sizzled the whole time as he stirred his food around before popping it into his mouth. He loved the soft egg that cooked as... More

There are a couple of cultural things to remember before you go to this or any other Korean restaurant. First and foremost is that unless they are geered solely (no pun) toward an American clientelle, privacy will come before promptness. Second, age trumps agressivenes. Third, silence begets solitude. In other terms; For 1 and 3 if you want something you... More

Before I launch into my diatribe of why I will NEVER visit this neighborhood cafe again, let me first say that the food my friend and I ordered was excellent. They didn't have my first choice on the menu but the second choice I ordered was great and didn't take more than 15 minutes. However, I was shocked at how... More
