I'll cut them some slack, as it was a busy Saturday lunch - so the service was slow and checking in on us was sort of lackluster. My husband had a breakfast burrito entrée and I had the shrimp flatbread. Both were tasty and serving size was generous. Prices were completely appropriate. The booth was oversized for generous comfortable seating.... More

had the classic burger; it was okay; burger was burned and since it took a long time for the burger to be made (35 minutes), I did not want to complain about it

This is all about accomodating folks and generating good will! My boyfriend and I stopped in to ask about holding a table -- for EIGHT -- for 45 MINUTES. They said YES. Minnesota really is the home of nice. We enjoyed soft drinks and local beer (BOGO); steak (one was initially overdone and was replaced -- TWICE), lettuce wraps, bbq... More

Sunday afternoon we were surprised to find Bonfire nearly empty since it is located next to Cafe Latte and on a very popular corner on Grand Avenue. The five of us were immediately seated and the server greeted us with a smile. She made several trips to our table just to help us with beverage selection. When we asked about... More

This review would have been rated poor but my husband's breakfast was very good and mine was terrible so my rating came out average. His breakfast was a spicy Walleye and eggs and was delicious. I ordered their Mexican quesadilla. It came with a very small amount of scrambled egg's, a little cheese and a half of piece of bacon... More

Great atmosphere and service. Food was very good however a little on the lukewarm side. But I would definitely go there again.

Nothing was as good as I remember from a year ago. The salad was drowning in overly acidic balsamic dressing (couldn't finish it). The skimpy steak bites were tasteless and had large pieces of fat. The also-tasteless roll was at least a day old -- very dry. The Ruby Slipper shaker martini barely filled two glasses, and the second one... More

They were down a cook so a very limited menu. Beef only. I went for the drunk and dirty sirloin. While I was waiting (I sat at the bar) a mouse ran one way, then the other, at my feet. Awesome. The steak came and I'm guessing the marinade it had been sitting in was old red wine. Tasted like... More

I stopped here after a day at school as I wanted to grab a good meal from a local establishment. The food was quite good and the staff was courteous and attentive. The pizza I had was really good, and was filling. The service was prompt too.

The Bonfire on Grand Ave is in a great location and in a cool repurposed building. Their menu features a wide variety of options including steaks, burgers, walleye tacos, and a variety of multi-cultural favorites. Local brews make up the tap list and two-for-one drink specials are available for well drinks and domestic (non-craft) beers. We made a reservation for... More
