Home style old fashioned place with friendly service and good food. Had the breakfast special and reminds me of home.

Not much to look at from the outside, yet this little stop was sure worth the trip. The nicest most efficient soft spoken waitress was 'Johnny on the spot' with water and coffee and refills on both. The cooks prepared food perfectly. We had the Windmill special which had a bit of everything: juice, eggs, french toast, ham and hash... More

The Windmill Cafe is your classic breakfast spot! If you are looking for a great breakfast this is your spot! The best chicken fried steak, no question! Portions are very generous and prices are dirt cheap! Go check out this little gem in Savage and enjoy a great breakfast!

We have driven past this place many times over the years and finally stopped in. Don't let the outside fool you - it's a good place to eat. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was packed. I had the french toast with eggs and sausage - very good, and my husband had the eggs benedict with... More

Better get there early if you want a good seat for breakfast. The roast beef and turkey dinners are like you would find years ago all over America but seem gone today. Home Cooking!

We've lived in Savage for almost 14 years and had yet to visit the icon of the Windmill Cafe. Built in 1964 and serving breakfast and lunch for all those years means the folks there know what they are doing. We stopped for breakfast (your typical short breakfast menu items) and had a great time. From the welcome at the... More

We went here for a traditional American breakfast. It seems to be a bit like a trucker stop that's popular with the locals. Breakfast was very good, everything we ordered was tasty and the free coffee refills are all good too.

Great restaurant for breakfast. Good food and generally good service. May have to wait to get a table on Sunday morning since they are very busy..

This is a great place for a breakfast meal. The prices are very reasonable. The relatively small space ensures that the service staff keeps your coffee mug full. The menu is a typical breakfast menu, however, I felt like the portions were large. The restaurant area was neat and clean, however the decor is dated.

This nondescript and slightly decrepit concrete building has been serving breakfast in the middle of a dusty dirt parking lot for ages. The Windmill itself hasn't functioned in years. Upon entering the decor is simple and slightly depressing. Families with small children and the hard surfaces produce a never ending din. I sat myself and waited. And waited. There was... More
