If you're looking for big screen TV's, 20 different beers on taps, and a 3 page wine list keep driving- You will be disappointed- If you're looking for a cold beer, a tasty burger and some great local banter, well my friends you will be as delighted as we were-I can't believe it took this many years of coming up... We work very hard at giving a "Northshore Experience" of good people, good food, and making folks feel like their family. Many of our locals use us for family gatherings and birthdays because of that "Cheers" feeling - where everyone is a friend! More

Not so impressive from the outside. Classic bar food. Burgers are great. Hand made patties with great flavor. French fries are delish. (Don't go if you're on a diet)

Thank-you so much for your review. You are correct! Our emphasis is on the quality of our food and our homey atmosphere, not so much the outside appearance. It's hard to dress up a building that is almost 60 years old. We only use 100% Angus beef for our hand formed burgers & wild caught Alaskan Cod for our fish.... More

Wow! It's a bar. In northern Minnesota. Great beer options. Okay... You get that sometimes. There is standard bar food on the menu. Okay. But then there is a menu with top end options. I come from Portland Oregon which some consider a foodies Paradise. But the salmon dinner I ordered here was every good as what you would get... More

We were staying at the motel for a night and thought it would be enjoyable to walk instead of drive to dinner. The parking lot beginning to fill with apparently local customers on a Saturday also looked like a good sign, and it was. It's a prototypical Northwoods bar/grill interior, with a nice selection of 5 or 6 tap beers... More

Sorry to give a local establishment a bad review--it should be 2 1/2 stars--but "hidden food gem" must have been awarded by someone under the influence. In the multiple times I have had lunch or dinner at the Earthwood, there have been multiple order mixups (as in, they forgot my order altogether though we were only 4 in a mostly... More

We were rated as "Hidden Food Gem" by an independent magazine and even we were surprised when they contacted us. They informed us that readers had asked them to visit us. The rating was based upon our "Ragin Cajun" 1/2 lb burger and our wild caught Alaskan cod "fish & chips". We only use 100% Angus beef for our hand... More

Fantastic homemade burgers! Hubs and I stopped for a picture of Pierre the Voyageur and saw the "Best hidden gem food award" and decided to stop for lunch. Awesome! Great service, food was delicious and the scenery on the deck was great!

We thought we'd try a local place while staying at the BnB. Food was so so. Atmosphere was nearly all locals preparing for a card tournament. Had a mixup on our order and the drink I ordered wasn't good. Overall, I'd pass if we were here again.

The Earthwood Inn was 1 of 3 restaurants rated "Hidden Food Gem of the Northshore" by Superior/Duluth Magazine. We are the only restaurant in Two Harbors to receive this rating. We live by this standard every day, inspecting each plate coming back to our kitchen to ascertain why, if any food is not consumed by our customers. We use 100%... More

Thanks so much Lois! We're constantly testing the taste of our food to insure consistency and high quality, using high grade & more costly ingredients such as as Angus Beef and fresh Lake Superior Herring. More
