This is a tourist trap, probably due to the Grumpy Old Men movie franchise. Went in with great expectations. Only great thing is the view of the river and the wait staff and atmosphere. Food was from the freezer to the fryer to the table. Could have been a shrimp basked from Sonic. Won't go back.

Slippery's has a great view of the Mississippi River with outdoor seating. Great to stop on boat or bike. Food is a real hit or miss.

We dined here because of the connection with the Grumpy Old Men movies. The food was very good. We took a short walk along the river from the Eagle Center. Grumpier old men was playing in the bar, but the sound was turned down so it didn't intrude on our meal or our conversation.

We went here for lunch and had a window seat so we could observe the action on the river. Lunch was excellent, waiter had a good knowledge of the area and was willing to take the time to chat with us. The ducks was a hit with the eight year old grandson. He shared part of his bread with them.

After visiting the National Eagle Center, we decided to find a place for a late lunch. Slippery's is evidently known for it's connection with grumpy old men, so we decided it'd be fun to visit. The hostess was quick and friendly. Waitress was good. Food and prices were okay. Nothing to write home about, except the appetizers (onion rings, cheese... More

A shop owner in Wabasha recommended this place to us. The view of the river and bridge is fantastic. Very average bar food. They were very busy and seemed understaffed. It took about twenty minutes to get the waitress to come to our table to pay our bill. Lots of references to the Grumpy Old Men movie here.

We stopped here to check out the place that was in the Grumpy Old Men Movie! We took some pictures and had the appetizer combo with Onion Rings, Cheese Curds and Jalapeño Poppers! It came with a great tasting ranch dip and a raspberry dipping sauce that was great! Everything tasted great! There is even a gift shop and lots... More

Slippery's is under new management and continues to be a great place. Curt is adding his own touch to it now and has great ideas. Slippery's is Wabasha at its best. Great food, great view, great service and a taste of Grumpy Old Men. We are never disappointed when we visit.

Nice bar with nice people! Good food! In the back they have a pool table, dart boards and a jukebox to keep you entertained.
