Well trained staff and super yummy root beer! I would highly recommend Lake View. You will not regret it.

The best root beer I've ever had. Make sure you get a big one. Maybe even a growler to take home. Burgers and ice cream, all of it great. Always busy, it's not particularly fast and that's ok. Old school: sit in your car and...More
We enjoyed a frosty mug of rootbeer - excellent - and a hamburger that was OK. The servers bring your food out just like the good old days.
Lakeview Drive Inn (yes, two "n's" in their name!) offers a retro feel, friendly staff, and a location across from a park & lake. I felt like I'd stepped back in time to the era that my parents were students at the local college as...More

Stopped for dinner. Sat at the tables under the umbrellas. Had burgers and fries of course. The root beer float was good, but a little light on the root beer. The tea was not very good. Server was good too.
The root beer float is definitely worth ordering with root beer made on the premises. There is an option of regular or soft serve ice cream. I ordered the elk burger which tasted like a regular hamburger. The drive inn is very busy on nice...More

Love this place. Typical drive in root beer stand with great food. They occasionally have a night of showing off restored cars. The root beer is fantastic. Closed in the Winter.
Having grown up in Winona, this was a long-standing favorite place to visit. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Lunch for 6 people, drinks didn't come out until the food was served, and one of the burgers didn't even come out until all others in our party...More
