Stopped here for lunch. Lasagne with garlic bread, side salad and chunky chips. Presentation was really good. Garlic bread and chips were homemade as, I expect, was the lasagne. Chips were really good. Garlic bread could have been more "garlicky". It was okay though. The salad was uninviting. Served in a small deep bowl it was not possible to see... More

Decided to go out for a meal here, the Restaurant was pretty quiet yet there was just an extra chair put to a table for 4 which left for very little space for eating, even though there was bigger tables available. Stopped here on Saturday afternoon herself and myself for a bite to eat. Specials on offer Beer battered cod chips and salad and roast beef . We both ordered the beer battered cod. What was served was the worst fish and chips I ever had, . Two pieces which looked like a battered sausage with no taste what so ever.... More

Hi, I dined here on 18/09/2016, I'm a 52yo irish man, and without hesitation i can say, it's the best food I have EVER been served in an irish restaurant. 10/10

The Friary is a great place to stop and eat if your making the trip from the West coast to East or vice versa. Huge menu to choose from and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We stopped here after a recommendation on our trip back from westport. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious, service was great. Four adults & 3 kids, everybody enjoyed the meal.
