Visited on a crowded Mothers Day and got right in with speedy service. Very friendly staff and good options on the menu. Really great view on the outside deck which is partly why we went. One can get a great meal and enjoy the overall experience here. Enjoy!

Love the seafood pocket sandwich and the hummingbirds (when they are there)! Fun, casual place to get something to eat. Big outside porch to dine on....large, sandy beach on a pond/lake for kids to run around and play. Go on out for a visit!

on a lovely day we went here for lunch, and got lucky to eat outside at one of the picnic tables with just a few minutes wait. I opted for a delicious chicken salad, and the hubby liked his red beans and rice, and we enjoyed our fudge pecan pie (split it) for dessert. It was just really nice to... More

I worked at the Air Force Base and would go visit when I wanted to get away and experience some peace and quite. The view of the lake is amazing, especially while eating lunch because many places don't offer something this unique. It is outdoors and I would recommend it when the weather is nice, otherwise you can dine inside... More

The four of us ordered: the French dip, seafood salad on French, combo of bread with the beef and seafood salad with chips. The location on the lake and the food was great. Did not know about this place until our son suggested it. Sorry we missed opportunities to enjoy the food. Looking forward to next trip.

Red beans and rice is my favorite. Just a bit on the spicy side, but the small plate seems like a large portion! And just go ahead and order an extra side of bread. It's that good!

Proffitt's has the best sandwiches you can get in Columbus, hands down. They cannot be beat. It is a little of the beaten path and stays packed anyway. That should tell you all you need to know. My favorite sandwich is the Cam.

We were in the area to attend our grandson's graduation from pilot training at the nearby air force base, and ten of us gathered on the outside deck for lunch. Our waitress was prompt and very accommodating when we decided we wanted to sit at a different table. The bread for the sandwiches and garlic bread is soft and yummy.... More

Proffitt's Porch is a really cool place for a New Orleans style Po' Boy, Gumbos, Red Beans and Rice or a nice salad. Sit on the comfortable deck overlooking Office's Lake (named for the nearby Air Force Base). Locally owned by the Proffitt family who is happy to visit with you.

My wife and I went here after hearing many glowing reviews. Hopefully, we had a flukey experience as we are very rarely disappointed with food in general. The atmosphere was amazing, but the menu was filled with so-so sandwiches and some gumbos. Ultimately, I got the french shrimp po'boy and gumbo (it never came, I didn't mention it again but... More
