This was my first visit to Leatha's. I hope I get to go back. I live in Dallas so it is quite a drive but I'll try to work it into any future Southern road trips. I had the 1/2 BBQ chicken with fried potatoes and slaw. The slaw came out first and was delicious. I had to make sure... More

Famous and well earned! It's all about the family style eatin' and powerful fine bbq! Huge portions, tasty ribs, chicken and pulled pork with great sides....and of course, sweet tea to die for....but somehow, please save room for the homemade pecan pie. Never had anything quite like it! Don't let the humble surroundings fool you.....this will be favorite for sure!

Driving home to New Orleans, decided to stop for an early dinner at Leatha's Bar-B-Que Inn. Had read an article raving about it. Hard to find and not worth the effort. The bar-b-que is fine, nothing special, and the sides were disappointing. Out of the featured dessert...pecan pie. Not easy to find and not worth the effort....sad to say.

We have been stopping at Leatha's for lunch for many years when we drive from Birmingham to New Orleans. We usually arrive at 1:00 or 1:30 and have never had a problem with seating. The chicken, ribs, and sides are all delicious. Large portions, great service. Everything is cooked over pecan wood we were told one visit. However they are... More

The pulled pork and baked beans are an excellent combination! Good comfort food--at reasonable prices. You won't leave hungry! Blue jeans are appropriate--no need to dress up.

I was in town for business and had to stop at Leatha's. This was my second visit and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Half and Half with Beef and Pork Ribs. For my sides I had the beans, but was torn between the slaw or potato salad. I asked the waitress which was better and she said she'll... More

If TA would allow, I would give this a 4 1/2........would have been a 5 but the service was a little slow......the help likes to talk to the other help. However, it was not so bad as to ruin our stop there as we traveled to New Orleans. This is very good BBQ and they serve large portions of everything.....this... More

After having a terrible experience at Letha's several years ago while in Hattiesburg I decided to give it another chance. We had finished work for the day at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon so decided to have lunch there. We sat at a table and it was forever before the server came around and took our drink order. It...
