Great ambiance as we enjoyed the special menu devised by their excellent chefs. Attentive service and the owner definitely checked everyone was being well looked after. A place for a special occasion so need to decide what the next one will be.

Rightly lauded gastropub if difficult to find. But after a kitchen upgrade and lick of paint still welcoming pub with exceptional food. Tempura on scallops was heavenly, the beef a real mains special and the sticky toffee pudding and candied fruit ice cream to die...More

In our experience, there are usually two fish options and these vary so it is best to call them and ask. Sorry I can't offer more help.

No, I 'm pretty sure they do not allow dogs inside. I have never seen any canines in the bar area. Remember - this is a fairly high class pub/restaurant & I'm sure (sadly for your sake) that dogs are not permitted.

Situated in leafy Flaunden in Hertfordshire, this award-winning gastro pub certainly looks the part. From the ivy-covered exterior to the cosy dining room with its beamed ceilings and open fires, the Bricklayers Arms is a charming eatery serving fine wine and Anglo French fare. Over the years the Bricklayers Arms has won critical acclaim from the Michelin Guide, the AA Pub Guide and the Good Pub Guide. It continues to impress local foodies and travelling gourmets with a passion for locally sourced food and warm, friendly atmosphere. Signature dishes include a selection of home-smoked fish with lemon and coriander butter; the home-smoked duck breast with duck liver mis-cuit; and the fillet of 21-day aged Bedfordshire beef served with green peppercorn flavoured brandy cream sauce.
