I phoned ahead for my order. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. This made no difference to the inattentive wait staff. Wait is what I do for an additional 25 minutes arrived I arrived.

Chairs very uncomfortable. Food definitely overcooked. Waitress couldn't speak English well enough to get our order correctly.
Each El Maguey is reliably good. The food is consistent: always tasty greasy and salty. Try the tamale plate - smothered in meaty red sauce. Also try the green/tomatillo salsa- not hotter, just tangier than the good red stuff.

Great Mexican Food and excellent service. Plus I got to practice Spanish with the servers.
