We sat on porch. It was quick and good.. server was fast with chips. I ordered chili Colorado and my husband had chili rellenos. Large portions.

You have to try their Chef Special as it is wonderful. Their service is great and fast. They have added outdoor seating which is wonderful for those that like fresh air dining. Food is always fresh and plentiful.

Business Meeting

We had a business meeting there and the room and the ordering process was not ideal! It would of been easier had they let us order individually at the counter and then bring our lunch to us!

Mediocre Mexican Food

We were excited by the reviews of fabulous guacamole, but were sorely disappointed. It was creamy like mashed potatoes with hardly any taste. Fajitas were ok, with a little dry chicken and lots and lots and lots of onions and peppers. Beef taco salad was ok.

BEST GUAC!

On a family visit from Atlanta and celebrating a birthday, I took everyone out for dinner. I didn't even know there was a Mexican place in Doniphan. Our waiter did not speak a lot of English but he was very nice and brought delicious salsa and a very good queso dip with our warm chips. We ordered GUAC and grilled jalapenos. We were brought up on TexMex in Uvalde, TX before it was cool. The guac was the BEST EVER! Big chunks of avocado and all the fixins.The entrees came out FAST and just as we had ordered them! The place as been there 12 yrs. I cannot wait to go back for a visit. Good food, nice people, fast service and really affordable. They say they are opening a Taco Bell in town soon. What a truly dumb idea...

Long time before anyone came to take our orders. Quality of good has gone down over last 6 months, taste fair. Prices are on the higher side for our small community.would consider back on rare occasions

Unexpected surprise!

Did not have high hopes for Mexican food in this area, but I was extremely surprised. Chips are fantastic, and the waiter was happy to help me raise the heat on the salsa. Chicken quesadilla should be called a chicken sandwich! It was PACKED with fresh, delicious white meat and melted cheese and the beef taco meat was seasoned really well. Even the Mexican rice was above average. Prices were reasonable and the menu includes lunch specials. Highly recommend stopping in.

Real deal, and GREAT chips and salsa

I rate my Mexican restaurants on their chips and salsa, lol. Well, Mi Casa has some of the BEST salsa I've had (it has cilantro! I LOVE cilantro!) - super fresh and tasty. It comes in a small 'carafe' with individual bowls for each person. We needed a couple of extra carafes, and our waiter obliged readily. The chips are great too, freshly cut and fried, not too thick. The menu was literally a book, with plenty of options for all palates. Our group of 5 ordered quite a variety of dishes, some with special requests, and each dish was just as we requested. I had the nachos that had a little bit of everything...it was a HUGE plateful of chips, cheese sauce, big chunks of chicken, ground beef, refried beans, jalapenos, sour cream, lettuce and tomato. Couldn't eat it all, try as I might. Beer selection is good, margaritas looked great. Our waiter was very attentive to us, kept our drinks filled and chips and salsa plentiful. The restaurant seems to have recently undergone a redo on the inside, everything was fresh and clean, including the bathroom. The parking lot is a little tight and it's tucked back a bit, but was a great find. There was live music on the outside patio that started after we had already been seated, or we would have sat outside. Fun funky beachy vibe on the outside. Great food, great vibe, will be back.

Service was great. Food ok. I expected more since the people who own the restaurant appear to be Mexican. Chips from a bag, salsa nothing special. I ordered tacos and a burrito. Taco meat bland. Burrito beef a bit stringy

Great Mexican Food for a small town.

I always enjoy eating here and didn't realize how good it was until I took my son and daughter-in-law out to eat. They live in a big town and eat out at a lot of Mexican restaurants. They informed me how lucky we were to have one of the best Mexican Restaurants they had ever eaten at.

Living outside of St. Louis, I did not expect to find food of this quality in my tiny hometown. The food is phenomenal, and the service is exemplary. You won't be disappointed.

Good Mexican Food!

Dined here in October 2016 while visiting girlfriend. Had the fajitas and a chicken/cheese dish. Very good food, very average service and NO draft beer. Will probably eat here again because of the quality of the food.

The real deal

Authentic Mexican Food can finally be found in Doniphan! My family usually eats here at least twice a month and are never disappointed. They have also added outdoor seating so their usually isn't to long of a wait. Only warning is their is only one bathroom and no changing table.
