This place is right along Rt 15 south of Gettysburg with plenty of parking. We stopped for pulled pork platters with 2 sides of their smoked baked beans to go. It was a quick in and out to get back on the road again so give it a try. Don't forget to get some of their sauces in a cup.... More

Looking for BBQ heads and snouts above the rest? Nestled on US 55 inbetween St. Louis and Memphis is a smoke house worth squealing over! The pig is honored here as much as a gameball from a grid iron match. This is the real deal BBQ---not your quasi-mega chain, nor your artificially manufactured environment: but genuine small town America, with... More

Stopped here during our Thanksgiving week travels. Really great bbq. Rubbed and smoked meats; you add the sauce. The coleslaw was a great change up from the mayo - based coleslaws of the North. The slaw sauce is sour with a hint of sweetness, and a lot of veggies: green peppers and radishes. The best coleslaw I've ever eaten in... More

Stopped for lunch while driving back home from Memphis. It had mostly good reviews and one claimed it was the only Zagat 4 star bbq in the US. The bad reviews all seemed to focus on their sauce, saying it isn't sweet enough. Yep, we said, that's for us. I've always thought that Coke should go in a glass, but... More

Friendly staff, food was good. I didn't like the sauce they put on the side, but, that was my personal opinion. Brisket and pulled pork were very good.

I don't want to be unfair to the little place because I think most will agree that barbecue is a "personal" thing. I prefer the Texas style with the sauce a little on the sweet side. I prefer lean and this was fatty, even after I specifically asked for lean. However the staff was really friendly and the beans were... More

We had the jumbo sandwich with fries and a regular sandwich with slaw. The sandwiches were topped with a little bit of slaw too and minimally dressed with vinegar sauce with more on the table if desired. The chopped pork melted in your mouth! Slaw was quite tangy, so you have to love vinegar to enjoy it. We definitely want... More
