The fact that Hermann has a strong German flair should not deter anyone from this Italian gem. Terrific crab cakes, homemade pasta and wonderful Brussels sprouts accompanied by a nice and reasonably priced wine list made for a great meal. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were in Hermann MO for our wedding anniversary. We had made reservations at Black Walnut Bistro to celebrate. After a day of tour the wineries we returned to our room to take a nap prior to dinner. WE OVERSLEPT! We missed our reservation entirely. The restaurant closes at 9 PM. We contacted the restaurant and informed... More

Great place! Food was amazing. Our server was so friendly. The crab cakes were delish! Also had the bacon and mushroom with truffle oil Mac and Cheese which was a big hit. The red sangrias were a plus!

We recently dined here with friends and were thoroughly impressed. The food was great (I had a steak and brussels sprouts) and our server was fantastic.

Reservations made for a duo birthday celebration and we were promptly seated. The food was outstanding and Cindy's service, sense of humor and yes, she even sings, were well above and beyond what most servers provide. Her service, her suggestions, sense of humor and singing, made an excellent dinner not only a celebratory occasion but also a very memorable one,... More

My husband and I had dinner here on our anniversary. It's a lovely little restaurant with a very intimate atmosphere. The service was outstanding and so friendly. And the food was awesome. I recommend the zuchinni appetizer and the bacon wrapped medallions!

We had the crab cakes, salads, and chicken pasta. The noodles are freshly made and all ingredients are fresh. It was a great meal and our waiter, Jeff, provided excellent service. It is a great choice for a romantic meal for two.

The menu contains a nice variety of choices for salads, entres, appetizers, and desserts. Our group enjoyed steaks, seafood, pasta, and fine wine from the local vineyards. The atmosphere is fun, with servers focused on your needs, providing good suggestions and timely assistance. I was impressed with this restaurant found in a small town. It would be successful in a... Note to self...Thursdays are half-price pasta days. Great food and lots of it. Simple ambiance but great service. Enjoy!
