Have been visiting this bar for many years and we are always treated like old friends by the owner when we return each time. There is always a great atmosphere, even when quiet and a very good choice of drinks. They particularly specialise in gin and cocktails.

Visited two or three times in the last year. Very friendly owner with lots of background details about the products. His son also works there and he too is ready and able to chat to any customer who wants to know more about the business, or whatever.

Love Atabua. We visit Salema every summer and go to Atabua quite a lot. For a sleepy fishing village Salema has quite a lot going on. Cocktails are lovely. They do the best mojitos ever.

Me and the Mrs have tried this wee bar on several occasions during our holidays in Salema. Always very relaxed and with an owner that enjoys getting people talking to one another and getting people drinking..!! If you like Karaoke for a few giggles then the Atabua delivers on this. If you like a nice cold beer or a well... More

This cocktail bar is small, friendly and the cool place to be in Salema. Prices are good, bar staff personable and atmosphere excellent.

Went to this place on the first night of our holiday on the way to dinner. After ordering two gin and tonics, the bar dude suggested some alternatives. We gladly went with his suggestions as he seemed knowledgable in the 'art' of putting some gin with tonic water and some foliage. We had alternative 'artisan' gin and tonics, which were... More

Have always enjoyed going into the Atabua for pre and post dinner drinks but this year it was a lot better. They have a huge selection of drinks, especially gins - (these however are slightly expensive but good that they have such a wide variety). However a glass of prosecco is only 4euros which I feel is very reasonable. The... More

If you are looking for a bar just to hang out then this is it. You have a great variety of drinks and special cocktails to choose from and you can sit in or out. The owner and his staff are very friendly and will make a drink to suit you. Wine and beer also available.

Went here for evening drinks and we're meet by very friendly bar staff. The staff take a real pride in explaining which ingredients they are using and why. I had a gin and tonic which was superb and unlike any other I had drank. The drinks are quite expensive but the quality of the drinks is top notch.
